As for me, i keep my profanity to myself. It's usually something stock like "what the F, or just F" and i just say it in real life, i dont bother typing it out, it gets drowned out in "frag out" anyway.
My personal favorite is "yeah, that makes sense" when some bunnyhopping tard 30 meters away lands in a crouch and instaheadshots me with a lambert.

I do wonder if all of you that curse like sailors kiss your mom with that same mouth. I have children myself and I like to set a good example by not using profane vocabulary. Not everyone uses that kind of language. BTW, Skates is correct is saying that less intelligent people use more curse words in their everyday vocabulary. There are other words that can be substituted. I really wish I knew what was wrong with all these bad kids these days. Evidently, you weren't raised right by intelligent parents who cared enough to lead by example.
And while I am ranting on the sad moral state of society, since when is it OK to bash other people's right to believe in whatever they want? America was founded on freedom of religion and expression. While I understand how some people might feel the self absorbed, self righteous need to put others down, that doesnt make it right. :shakehead:Comment

High IQ or Intelligence Quotient does not translate over to "Real World or Societal Intelligence". There have been tons of people over the years with high IQ's that were not Intelligent. In fact, many serial killers have / have had VERY high IQ's, as well as dictators and psychologically disturbed people.:thumbsup:Comment

A high IQ does make you intelligent. The ability to smile and smarm your way around a room at a party does not make you intelligent - it means you are sociable that's all.

Maybe it's more of a maturity level than an intelligence level. If you really feel the need to express your frustrations by typing a bunch of crap, whether you are swearing or not, to 30-60 complete strangers in a game on the internet, you need to grow up a little.Comment

I agree. While I'm not a fan of the bad language filters "seem to catch more innocent stuff than bad stuff IMHO", running off a long string of expletives just because you got beat at a video game shows a lack of maturity. I see all the time in clan server where they're recruiting 18+ only. As if that denotes maturity. My team has often recruited younger players than that who act maturely. I know some 30 year olds whom I wouldn't let on our team or even our Vent server, where as the 14 yr old that played with us in competition never said or did anything that would make you think he was that young. Maturity is as maturity does ( Forrest Gump quote FTW ).Comment

Hmmm...
One interesting lesson learnt from this thread is that there are many more chino wearing, tea guzzlers amongst the 2142 fraternity than I would have supposed.

i run a server and have no language filter however we have banned 30+ people for really really bad language and the common thing is that most are 7-15 years old we are turning the filter on only for words like f**k and c*nt as people are just spamming now. i see where it is for 16+ however what is the point in using the profanityComment

Whether you curse a lot or not, it is 100% the right of the server admins to kick/ban you. After SWAT didnt want to lift the bad on me i really didnt mind its their server they can do what they want, ive learned this after having had a server (though it was only populated a hand full of times)Comment
