CoD:WaW - Patch 1.6 and Map Pack Update

It looks like we are very close on the PC to finally being able to play the latest map pack along with receiving the 1.6 patch. Read the update below thanks to CoD MapModNews:
QA results (quality assurance) done by Activision are all good so far.

We are working on getting Linux, Steam, Mod Tools update, and Der Riese modding tutorial ready for simultaneous release. There is some QA required for each of these when they are completed, but these take a lot less time than the primary game QA.

I will give another update when I have something notable to share.

Once again, we can thank "pcdev" for keeping us updated with the info above. Little updates like this keep people informed, and from getting as frustrated as they normally do when there is no communication. We will keep you updated with the latest patch and map pack news for CoD:WaW.

I don't mind the extended wait compared to Xbox/PS3 release dates but I wish they would give us PC gamers a date to look foward to. The last map pack came out without me knowing while I was at school so I couldn't start the download almost when it is released. :dead:

It is nice to get more information on this map pack. Nice to get more information on anything on the PC side. Its a good change.

I dont mind there not being a date because if they miss it, then all hell breaks loose from the community.

wish dice knew about this logic before setting a date for the PC version of 1943. it was Armageddon in their forums when they found an article from G4 saying that its been delayed till 2010
