I bought Battlefield 2142 last year and I lost my internet due to real life problems. So tonight, I try to download it, Guess what?

Users are given 6 months from the time of purchase to download a game. This period can be extended to two years, via the Extended Download Service, by paying a $6 US fee

Thanks a lot EA, I spent 50 bucks on Battlefield 2142 to download it, and now I dont get to play it. IF EA HAD PUT THIS EXTENDED DOWNLOAD SERVICE PLAN ONLINE LAST YEAR, I WOULD OF PAID 6 DOLLARS.

EA is a rip off, its official. It should be against the law to change the rules a year later and removed client's that had bought games before the rules changed. Clients who bought games before that shouldn’t be affected. Stay away, stay far, far away from EA Downloader.

um it saves to your hard drive. So as long as you have not formated you should still have it.

One of the many, many reasons to hate EA, unfortunately.

Your best bet is to copy the install file from a friend and just run it that way. Burning it to a CD/DVD for future installs is a good idea too. You don't NEED to get it directly from EA.

Of course, if you haven't registered it through them, you're still kind of boned, but that's a whole other problem.

What ya mean? I dont got the CD key or I would DL a ISO. EA DLer only gives you the game it installs for u, then you make an account, which I have in game..

Right, but if you login to 2142 with an ID that the EA servers don't think has the "right" to the NS content, you won't have full access to the NS content, even if it's installed.

And that's exactly what EA wants you to do.

Once you buy it, it's linked to your 2142 account, you can use anybody's .exe afaik.

The default location is

C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EADM\cache\random#\bf2142_bp1


Programdata is a hidden folder. Make sure to set windows to show all folders.
