Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
If it means what I think it means, its like the old DC map Medina Ridge where you had to cap flags in a particular order to win. Sucked for the attackers but was fun as hell for the defendnerds....
Infantry only has no transport at all, no hardwear, that's why its called infantry only.
Then you have servers that have tanks, APC's transport choppers and attack choppers and jets too, but there is currently nothing in the middle of this.
That's where the new game mode will come in i think, a game mode that will allow you to drive squrd cars , jeeps , hummers , and ribs , and transport choppers , so all of this is just used for transport only, to get from A-B without getting raped by attack choppers and fighter jest spawn killing and dropping bombs everywhere and no use of ''HEAVY HARDWARE'', (killing machines) IE, tanks, Apc's, jets and so on.
MWAHAHAHAHA!! You have no idea! Jeeps are one of the best weapons in the game. They can kill any vehicle including jets and choppers, but just try to imagine what it will be like once those jets and choppers are out of my way! Oh how you will change your mind once you are under my wheels!
But seriously, I don't find it likely that we will ever have such a game-mode. I imagine something more along the lines of 'Objective' like in 1942.

Yeah I remember that map, at the time it was all a bit unclear what you had to do, the GUI wasn't quite up to it, well I thought so anyway. But as with Gold Rush in Bad Company, it makes things pretty obvious what needs to be done and where. So if this where implemented in BF2's minimap in a similar way I'm sure things could work out really well.
But.... why would they release a new game mode for BF2? Suppose DICE have been working on prototypes on the BF2 engine, that would have been long ago, they'd of switched to Frostbite (or whatever engine BF3 is on) by now surely (BF2 was released in 2005, long time ago now). They had the code for supply lines in BF2, just not complete, why complete it now for BF3? I reckon they could have come up with a completely new mode, something inovative for BF3, that they're willing to share with us on BF2 to see how it works in the real world.
What ever the game mode is, i will be happy with a change.
Supply lines sounds pretty good.
CHAEL :- I do have a idea, i know how good the mounted 50 CAL machine guns are and its extreamely easy to get lots of kills running people over, i should know this after 1300 BF2 hours, but try killing a healthy tank with a jeep or squrd car, plus no ''TRANSPORT VEHICLE'' can ever be as powerful as the jets bombs or TV guided missiles, that is the point i was trying to make and that's what i think the new mode could be.
Remember, 3-4 months ago this is what alot of us here at this forum were asking EA/DICE for, a transport vehicle only game mode, and MAYBE they listened, but we will find out.
I don't think there is any problem with the patch, I think it's already done, and has been probably not long after they announced it. I think it's a timing issue. Clearly, IMHO, this patch in some way is linked to promoting BF3, and BF3 hasn't been officially announced yet. I think the patch was going to come with an official announcement, but only after BF Heroes was done and dusted. Since Heroes was delayed slightly, it's put the BF3 announcement, and the BF2 patch back also.
Operation Aberdeen was released for BF1942 partly because they wanted to try out the double assault game mode they had planned for BF2 in a real game environment.

/conspiracy mode off
I think you may be right.
But I think it will be before Heroes is released.
