I wouldn't go that far. But I'm sure we all got you point the first time, yeah, we all have waited a long time and the whole thing left everyone with a sour taste in their mouth about EA/DiCE when it comes to customer/title commitment. Maybe they kinda do owe the community in a way...but it is kinda hard to make-up for the past now. It would come down to how they show everyone if they really have learned from their past by stepping up more in the future with other products.

BTW, with the space you left between the lines with those two posts...I did not see anything hidden there...were use using invisible ink?

Actually, I'll cut them slack now. Seeing how the title is getting very long in the tooth and they are knee deep is several other software platforms now. Though we all should have seen a patch sometime ago, now that we see all these new products from DiCE on the horizon, well...I be find getting what they can put out. But I would be happier if they allowed more ranked community made maps though.

I should be happy with my christmas gift from EA this year then.

Lets hope they don't disappoint me because i think we will all wait a very very long time for another patch.

I don't think there is any problem with the patch, I think it's already done, and has been probably not long after they announced it. I think it's a timing issue. Clearly, IMHO, this patch in some way is linked to promoting BF3, and BF3 hasn't been officially announced yet. I think the patch was going to come with an official announcement, but only after BF Heroes was done and dusted. Since Heroes was delayed slightly, it's put the BF3 announcement, and the BF2 patch back also.

Just to add to the speculation:

Operation Aberdeen was released for BF1942 partly because they wanted to try out the double assault game mode they had planned for BF2 in a real game environment.

Make of that what you will.
