rostbite is a next-generation FPS engine built from the ground up to power Battlefield: Bad Company and other upcoming games from DICE across all high-end platforms.*
*The engine carries forward the unrivalled online air/ground/sea vehicle and first-person gaming pedigree from previous Battlefield engines, and adds support for massive networked destruction in a large-scale environment.*
*With an all-new rendering engine supporting high-fidelity visuals and effects, and an innovative HDR audio system, the Frostbite engine is one of the few engines that really make use of the unique capabilities of both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to deliver a truly intense next-generation gaming experience.
I contacted one of my EA contacts this morning, he wouldnt give me a date but he said it was by the end of this month or in Sept. BFH is also coming soon (Thats well known), We should have that by the 30th of Sept, if not before.
I was on about a link for a date, not the announcement :p
I agree, it's nearly certain they'll make another PC BF game, just look how popular BF2, and even 1942 and Vietnam are. A lot of games come out, have a few months of people playing online, and then they're deserted.
I have faith in DICE to make a great game, but what I would like to see is some innovation, something really cool in BF3 that pushes the limits of FPS gaming.
designers don't ruin games, gamers ruin games, a game relies on the community that play it to create fun scenarios rather than use *** tactics and exploits ... besides patches are based on community feedback so it's our own damn fault lol
you should be glad they even release patches once released they are not obliged to patch it atall
they get no money from the patches so think about it and be a bit grateful yeh ?
I would have been happy with the original black hawks, attack choppers and so on.:|:
