i have 1600 hours. i play alot. i am really good. i have no life.

but i s**t you not if you look at the stats of some of the top noobs on the leaderboard i saw a few people with over 3000 hours. pretty amazing i think they must be like fat slovenly things that have their arses glued to thier seats LOL

I've got about 850 hours in. In my defense I bought the game the day it was released :laugh:

Seriously I think I play too much. How the people managed to get over 3000 hours in! - I think they must be account sharing. I remember the top leaderboard guy in the early days had so many hours somebody worked out he must have been playing nearly 24 hours in a day.

I've got close to 1000, about 980 right now. I usually play a couple hours a day after my wife and kids go to bed.

I have nigh 2,000 hours out of this game. OMG. It lived a long time for me, but right now it is dead.

My clan mate xPAC got his stats wiped the other day xD He was the victim of the transport glitch in November 2006 (two or three ex=L13= were), it finally came back to haunt him xD

Actually its weeded out a good number (not all unfortunatly) of the "noobs". There seems like there are more skilled players (like ourselves) on the servers, and that alot more team work is being done. As for it dieing, I dont think it is at all. To be honest Im seeing a bigger drop in number of players on COD 4.

I think I have noticed the same thing. Mostly everone on the servers I play with are pretty decent players and really haven't seen a decline in numbers. I think what makes or breaks a game now is how good is your commander. Well I thought I had a lot of hours in at 747 hours but compared to 3000 thats nothing. (And I also bought it the day of release)

Jeez guys at least your honest. Field come on, give yourself some credit. Just cause you play bf 2142 alot doesnt mean you dont have a life. As for me I have 500 or so hours but I usually leave it on the menu screen all day when im at work so make it about 390 or something.

Menu doesn't count towards your play time.

I have circa 1700 hours on ranked, and probably another 300 or so on unranked servers. I've played most game-modes (in fact, I've STILL played more titan than conquest) and still have fun :)

I do laugh at the top 100 people with around 3000 hours though. I've stabbed some of them too and it actually feels like they've been playing for about a tenth of the time they actually have.

seems most of the noobs have gone off to play the newest generation of CS aka COD4 leaving only vets and hardcore players

I still see people playing on the local aussie servers, but not as much as i used to remember.

Funnily enough, i had old 2142 buddies come back from quakewars because the quality of gameplay and the playerbase was worse. There were nights where the local servers have zero (0) players playing on them.

I have played about 811 hours since it started. I had to go back to BF2 for a month or so while I figured out how to fix BF2142, and there are lots of hardcore/ officer types over there, and it is tough unless you play it a lot....The infantry only Karkand nade fests really bore me... I like BF2142 because of all the options and different maps. It is still my favorite of the two.

I'm retired and really don't have a life.....lol

I'm surprised it's still here. 2 years is a long time in the PC world. Whenever I feel like a blast I don't have any problem finding a game. There are always pretty much a hundred servers to choose from and that is with all my filters set.

I really don't see anything knocking it out until BF3.

Agreed, I will likely play this until BF3. However I also play TF2 and CoD4 now, if it is which it usually NEVER is impossible for me to find a server in 2142I simply go over to either one of those and frag.
