    F.E.A.R. 2 Banned in Australia

The Australia Classifications Board has refused classification for the upcoming squeal to the ever-popular F.E.A.R. due to cited "High Violence."
According to a representative from the distributor, "Warner is actively working through the appeal system with the ACB and is exhausting all options. We are doing all we can to get F.E.A.R. 2 released in the AU market."
F.E.A.R. 2 is not scheduled for release until February, so there is still time for the appeals process to grant classification for the game.

The Australian Government are fascists! How about they 'fine' the parents if their allowing their children to play 18 plus games! Why does everyone have to suffer for some stupid people. Anyway, this banning of the product is just going to mean they will get it pirated now!

I know they allow a f*cked up filthy movies like Saw to be available but we can't have those 'violent' games be played. The Australians might as well be zombies, where's the fun over there, everything is banned!!

I just hope the devs don't dub down this game for the rest of us, if anything why not reduce the gore for the AUS version?

There are days when it seems half of Australia is already here...especially at the ski hills and pubs/beer gardens.

You Aussie gamers need to be organized to protest the unjust censorship toward games. The law and regulation should be categorizing games and publications, while fine stores who sell adult contents to minors. The decision of what content is allowed should stay as parental judiciary. The government can make suggestion and regulation on how things may be sold, but really should stay out of this.

You shouldn't. Yeah, Oz has strict import laws, you have lousy pings to non-local servers, and this game censorship thing blows, but other than that...wait until/if you get the chance to travel a bit and see just how much of a sh*thole a lot of other places are.

You'll be thankful for your kangaroos, shrimps on the barbie, beer, didgeridoos, koalas, vegemite sandwiches, beaches, reverse-flushing toilets, Surf Patrol™, and cute women.

Actually the coriolis effect isn't strong enough to bypass the direction that the jets in the toilet move the water so the toilets flush in the same direction as in the northern hemisphere.

Don't fret, this just landed in my inbox:

The League of Australian Humour & Fun™ (LAHF) officially denies and disavows itself of any and all factual statements made by Tomeis regarding the Coriolis Effect on Australian toilets.

Please continue using classic stereotypical Australian icons and misconceptions in the course of your jokes. We enjoy and appreciate the attention.
                              Thank you.
