providing it isnt released 6 months early in some sort of beta stage in order to make monies
Yeah, that's one major improvement I'll be looking for over Battlefield 2 - hit detection. Yes, I know you could find servers with low pings for better detection, but the random glitching out of scope/failed registrations got on my nerves.
If anything, I'd love for them to implement a similar lag-compensation "tool," like that seen in Call of Duty, which to me has amazing hit detection.

      Any ideas ?
      All things in good time.

Whenever DICE chooses to give us information, rest assured that TGN will fire up the media machine and inform the masses.

in good time? hmm 7 months ago we were getting it end of 08, now there is no news anywhere, maybe someone with an "in" at EA could ask them what happened to it?

I hope it will be nothing like BF:BC. The squad system, weapon balance, kits are a complete joke. Not to mention the laser pistols which pwn smgs both short and medium ranges.

            In 7 months time ?

Do you actually think we at EA are stupid enough to let a document "Leak" ?

If you take your information from a document that comes from unknown sources, you get what you get.

Haha, it's not even July yet, so I don't know why people are wondering why BF3 is late.

DICE recently claimed it has 5 Battlefield titles in the works. BF:BC, BF:Heroes, another console title, a title aimed at Korean gamers, and another game. I think based on the leaks, and the comments by DICE, it's safe to assume that the other game is Battlefield 3. They said they are still going to keep "hardcore PC gamers" very happy, and none of the other titles are going to do that.

I'm guessing they'll announce it either after BF:Heroes is out, or at E3.

DICE's Battlefield franchise looks to expand, with an executive producer for the Swedish developer revealing that a further five titles in the series are currently in development.

Speaking at the Paris GDC, Ben Cousens stated that, "Since the start of this year I've been working as executive producer for the entire Battlefield franchise - we've got five titles in development at the moment, which is probably more than you expect."
The way he says that and the context he says it in leads me to believe he's talking about the Battlefield series, as opposed to other DICE titles.

I'll be extremely surprised if there's no news on BF3 at the Expo: at the very least, it would be f*cking stupid of EA and DICE not to advertise the game in order to build hype.

There is no real evidence anywhere that BF3, if it even is being made, is going to use frostbite engy, why would they port all the models? then you would just get the same content but one game was mainly SP and the other prolly mainly MP.

But at the same time they have BF:H and BC around/developed, im sure they want to get as much hype around the new games before they start with BF3.

on the other hand a lack of news could be a good indicator that they are taking their time

I don't want to hear anything about BF3 until they're ready to announce a ship date. Until then, I'm playing AIX!
