lol Confirmation has hit the Playstation Blog the next major Firmware is going to be 2.40 and will have in game XMB as well as Trophies it is unknown wheather the soundtracks will hit in this update due to a rumored law suite between Sony and Microsoft over ingame music.

New update(v.2.36) came out today for the PS3... The last one before 2.40..

Although this says "coming soon", i already installed the 2.36...

I came to the conclusion when i decided to buy my 40gb version. That since i have working PS2, i really don't need the ability to play my old PS2 games with the PS3... So makes no sense to pay extra for it..

Damn... That ain't good..

Then you have either two options...

To pay 'bit' more to get the PS2 games work on the PS3...

Or,

Forget the PS2 games, and buy the 40Gb version...

I can only find the 40GB version from Finnish stores too...

I think they stopped making the 60 GB version. Not sure about it though.

Can't find that one either from Finland... Only one they got is the 40Gb version...

Maybe you Jazzman have to just forget the PS2 games and go for the 40Gb version...
