Re: TV missles going right through
Most people, like myself, find it hard to miss on purpose. Which is exactly what you need to do in order to hit a rolling chopper. Since you need to aim for empty air where the chopper used to be to hit the hitbox, most people miss. They put the missile right through where the chopper is. You know, people are spoiled by games with good netcode like UT and CounterStrike.
That's the one thing keeping me from totally dominating most of the servers I go to. I put a missile through to where I can see the pilot's face, while the other guy sends a missile where I was two seconds ago and I die. There have been times where I saw the missile go past, fired off a TV, and blew up as theirs hit some random spot behind me, like where I took off from the pad thirty seconds previously. Then my missile, which was headed for them before I died, hits them right where they are sitting. The hitboxes aren't even consistent in the same match with the same pings.
Oh, and I have yet to see someone do a front roll in an attack chopper. It pretty much always just goes straight down. You can kind of twist to the side and pull up out of the drop, but you can't do a straight front flip.
