We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
And heres a vid without the "fake" FLIR:

Actually, vBF2 helis don´t have hellfires. They only have Hydra 2.75 inch rockets and the TV missiles.
Somehow i dont think that those pilot controlled rockets are hydras... They take out tanks in like 5 hits and hydras just cant do that. I have no idea wtf they are supposed to represent, but those just dont seem to be hydras.
ya i know CmC dont cheat. theres a lot of them always on my clan server...*R|A* Dalian. but im sure theres a few that use macro,i dont really consider that cheating, just kind of an unfair advantage but idk i never used it.thx for that vid. skaggy,im gonna have to try that.

You can't claim to be skilled if you're using a macro to get there. Just thought I'd make that clearer for all the leet nubs.

You can take a S12 round to the chest and live in BF2. Pointless comparison, vBF2 to real life.
I have found that the hitbox can move around a bit, depending on the server/lag, etc. In the early days, it would seem like the hitbox lagged a bit, and it was very reliable, like everyone said, to aim for the tail. But over time, I have learned that that isn't always true. Sometimes you have to adjust, come from underneath, or a little more center or ahead even. You could have a round in one server, get hit after hit using the tail, then go into another, and those same exact shots seem to fly right through. It's WFT?, I just know those cannot be missing! Truth is, you are indeed missing.
The key is to adjust. You trained yourself over and over to aim for a certain spot, and when those are missing, the hitbox is still there, you just need to find it. Start off aiming for the tail section, but move forward if those miss. Keep in mind, you may even need to move up and down slightly, but that isn't as often as forward or back. Once you find the sweetspot, frustration won't even be a factor.
So, just to clarify the "hit the tail" comment most people tell you.
If the other helicopter is broadside (or perpendicular) and going to your left or right, then yes, aim for the tail. As most people said, the hitbox lags behind what you visually see. So, you have to aim "behind" it.
Now, for other attack helos, nose to nose, if the other pilot does a roll, and you are trying to it hit mid-roll, then it's the same idea. If the other helo is at 4pm in the roll, hit at 3pm. You actually try to hit "empty air" right above the other helo. That will strike the hitbox, because once again, it lags behind what you see on the screen.

Believe me they are, except the only place they are reasonable realistic is PR. In vbf2 and other mods they go way to slow and do too much damage to some things, but then, vbf2 isn´t realistic is it?
coldmist, you just reminded me: Why do people do that roll? Isn't losing altitude in a chopper fight a bad move? I dodge missiles just fine moving side to side, even against highly experienced gunners.
Sometimes I'll do front/backflips when I'm drunk, but aside from that my chopper doesn't usually go upside-down.

well the game is not that realistick so loosing altitude doesnt matter, as a matter of fact ur safer if u fly low
