Indeed, I played through it the first time Vanilla, then delved into the patches, some truly superb ones out there that add to the already awesone atmoshpere and mood the game creates

sad to hear that about burnout I can remember playing it on my mates PS2 and lovving annihilating everything, pity that Ea have ruined something else

In all mediums that starts happening. People stop trying to be original and focus more on selling as many copies as fast as possible.

Well i guess ill just have to wait for games like bf3 and cod5 to come out.. I am pretty picky when it comes to games.. but like i said CoD4 is pretty much the epitome of what i look for in a game.

Good graphics.
Non confussing controls.
MUST have an awesome multiplayer.
Good range of guns and add ons to keep the game interesting and unique for each player.
AWESOME sound.

Some people may think CoD4 doesn't have these things but for me all these things were perfect so thats pretty much what my standard is now. I don't think ill ever play BF2 again :p

If BF3 isnt good...dammit, it has to be a game that keeps me playing forever, which is what BF2 would have done if it hadnt got butt raped

If BF3 will be anything like BC, it will be an improvement over BF2. But still, some beta players have said that guns are still fairly weak and should be amped.

I hate how BF`s competition sucks complete bawls. Is it really that hard to make a game which has perfect infantry combat (CoD4) and vehicle combat. BF2 with CoD like inf would have been orgasmic.

Yes, probably the most atmospheric game out there, truly worth playing

COD4 Inf and BF2 vehicles would be ok if COD4 didnt simply rely on holding fire

i don't think you're giving yourself enough time to get used to some of them. when i buy games, i do it one at a time so i can get into it (probably too into it infact). have you given GTA4 another chance since? what do you think?
i originally thought what you voiced, but the more you play, the better it gets. also, the cars' handling is something you need to stick at. get to know a good range of cars, as they handle differently and you'll eventually be pulling powerslides round those corners:nod:
