As for posing, bad job or good job... realism is not the factor here, its about looking good. And hes definitely looking good, in a non-gay way, being said.

Its in fact not a M4A1, its just a M4, what the US Army troops are issued with :p

I aint held a M4 or M16, thou I have held a L85A2, AK-47 and a bunch of other guns, and I can tell you having your hands so close together would mean you would have very little control over the weapons as apposed to if your hands where spread.

Drills and practice are often neglected in real life. The reason why they wouldnt hold their hands on the magazine (not magwell), would probably be because of increased risk in misfeeds or jamming. But in reality, youre not even applying pressure on the magazine, while holding the magwell. And since its an M4A1, holding the magwell is extremely comfortable.

None of this sounds any different from what we've heard a while ago...

But as far as BF3 goes I hoped they've learned from their mistakes and look into current BF2 mods to see what they should add for more balance and fun.

Whats the difference? Or are you talking about the M4 SOPMOD kit, which is still built on the M4A1 rifle? Which essentially is the M4A1 rifle with a RIS kit and extra accessories?

On the contrary, you get exceptional control over the weapon, your hands will tire much slower and you get to wield the weapon faster in any direction.

You do get less control over recoil, yes, but its not like people expect accuracy past 2-3 shots anyway.

But how can you tell? From the picture, the only difference I see is the newer buttstock which doesnt tell anything, S/1/3 markings are impossible to see.

[EDIT] Did some digging. In some areas, people claim M4 to be an M16A2 carbine, doesnt make much sense because of 2 reasons. M16A2 already has a carbine, called Colt Commando, or M733. And, that would mean that M4 has a fixed carry handle.

So maybe M4 is a carbine model of M16A4? Easily re-checkable if we check out the dates of both models coming out.

I hope they löosen up on the ranking part, just a bit. 8 maps will get boring as F*CK, no matter how big or wtfpwnawesometanksns*it they are. Allowing custom maps or some slight modding on ranked servers would improve the game a lot.
Won`t happen, but I can dream.

Same with weapons. Unlocks should be a change to your default ones, to spice things up or something, not f*cking Level 15 G3 Of Robin Hood, which amp your accuracy from 0.15% to 100% with a critical of 45%.

I won't bother trying to come to any sort of understanding what this game is going to be like when it comes out. BF2 had me jumping up and down, and while fun at first was *nothing* like the trailer that got so many people excited. (squad advancing tactically up a street, tank pwning them and a f15 dropping a laz0r bomb on it) Same story with 2142, i hated the sound of the game, but it totally blew BF2 off the map for me and is now the only fps i play.

So i have little faith any trailers or screenshots will give me a good picture what it'll be like. Lets hope it has a demo..

I just want the game to be less nade spammy than BF2 or 2142, focus less on vehicle whorage than BF2, but more than 2142 and have immersing infantry play more like 2142 than BF2's.

We'll see. I fear it'll be just as much nadespam, with twice the jump-flop-shootheadshot-crouch-standup-shootheadshot-strafe-pronerollheadshot-crouch-nadetoss.

It looks to me like they're trying to make BF more like COD4, but with the addition of vehicles to keep fans of the series satisfied. Mark my words: BF3 will be COD4 with a few vehicles thrown in for good measure.
