  • PC gamer confirms battlefield 3?

Apparantly the PC gamer (I don't know if it's UK or US) has a preview of battlefield 3 in it.

Apparantly it will be modern day with NATO vs MEC. Apparantly only 8 maps, most of which will focus on urban combat (can't say I'm too thrilled about that one)

Stats are still in with unlocks. Will also be able to customise your soldier's appearance.

Game will be using an updated version of the Frostbite engine that's used in bad company.

34 different weapons in total with things like armour, ammo, helmets etc. also becoming unlocks.

    ---

Can anyone confirm this to be true?

Hmm... i'll have a gander at PCG when i'm in town.

Only thing is they are cellophaned up so you can't look inside, and i refuse to pay £6 for a magazine.

I'm afraid you cannot post them here, but you can tell us in your own words what it says

Only 8 maps? They better be bloody good as that is quite a poor effort. It seems to shrink with every new release. Come BF4, we'll have 1.

And mostly urban combat too? I'm surprised that they are bothering to put vehicles in this as they seem to be heading in just one direction.

                Those screenshots look horny though.

I`ll lol if the guns act the same way they do in BF2. No money from me if they do.

If BF3 turns into one giant nade spam fest instead of BF2 (where it was just 90% nade spam fest) that's it. I'm reaching the end of my tether with BF2, if BF3 doesn't shape up to better than expectations I'm converting to the Call of Duty series.

I hope it has Karkand. I love running around that map with my nades and MG36!

But, i'd love to see some huge tank fights as well. Zatar wetlands is a cool map.
