wtf is that guy doing using the mag as a foregrip?
edit: and also aint even got the stock in his arm pit, and god hes just doing everything wrong... if you use a r/l image use a proper images...
Hes not using the mag, hes using the magwell. Theres a major difference. Besides, for some, the RIS front grip, even if set as close to the magwell as possible, just isnt enough. M16 series rifles just happen to be only comfortable if you can hold them with your hands as close together as possible.
As for not holding the stock in his armpit. He aint shooting, hes posing.

I realized that much... Hes just doing a really bad job of it :p
and I very much doubt that US Army troops are trained to hold there weapons with there left hand on the "magwell", i may ask one of our MAs just to confirm it if you want :p

Besides, its not a M16, its a M4.
Drills and practice are often neglected in real life. The reason why they wouldnt hold their hands on the magazine (not magwell), would probably be because of increased risk in misfeeds or jamming. But in reality, youre not even applying pressure on the magazine, while holding the magwell. And since its an M4A1, holding the magwell is extremely comfortable.
As for posing, bad job or good job... realism is not the factor here, its about looking good. And hes definitely looking good, in a non-gay way, being said.
