Wow.... anyone else run into this guy?

I know these threads usually head south pretty quickly, and I'm looking for that. I just wanna tell my story and see if anyone has had a similar experience. I'll try to avoid hyperbole and name calling ect, and just keep it simple.

I just had an... interesting experience in the Texas Team Players server with one of their admins bigdog_jd.

I'll spare you the lead up details (ok mostly), and tell you what he finially banned me for. Not being a team player. But that was after lecturing me for 5 mins about how I'm "what's ****ing wrong with this game" and "YOU FOLLOW THE ORDERS YOUR ****ING COMMANDER GIVES YOU OR YOU GET THE **** OUT OF MY SERVER" his emphasis not mine. I could give you this long tale about how me and my squad damn near won the game for him last round, but you'll just have to trust me, his accusations were false.

Anyway, anyone else has ever played with this guy before? He seriously almost had a brain aneurysm over the squad comms.

PS. this is not some lame attempt to get unbanned, I prefer to be banned from servers like this so I don't accidentally forget and join them by mistake. Saves everyone involved alot of heartache.

I have TTP in my favorites, but no, i never encountered no such thing or guy.... Even if I dont really go alot on that server.

I hope not. I don't believe I'm beyond reproach at all. Maybe I was the wrong one, and he's really this great guy who thinks I did something wrong. I figured if I was some one would tell me. I don't think so tho. Guy was about as abusive as I've ran into in this game. I didn't hear any slurred speech, but I would venture a guess that he was drunk.

I'm just thinking back to all the threads that have been locked in the past few days. Could be that he was drunk. Wouldn't be the first or the last to play that way.:laugh:

Geeezzzzz.........how could you tell that they were 50 years old or young and that they were fat. 'ESP' I guess. Played there a few times and the server is okay if you like FF on.

Follow the orders of the commander... wow. Does anyone ever do that? Most of the time the commander, is some moron that does absolutely nothing and asks squads to do everything as he lays about and racks up points.

yeah that guy sounds like kind of a stupid-*** to me. Giving orders as commander is completely retarded. its like just stfu with the orders and just use your assets and spot for us eh?

TTP's version of teamplay is that if you don't carefully follow your squad leader's or commander's commands they'll kick/ban you from their servers even if the orders go against common sense, which is why I never bother to go play there. :p

they do run NS maps+ regular maps which is kind of nice, that and i have like 70 ping on that server which is decent too

I would have to disagree about the usefulness of commanders. On some conquest maps, i.e. Berlin, Gib and Remagen, having a good commander is a must if you are to win on defense. I do agree that using assets and spotting is a vital job for a commander, but if you have a good one, and this would almost definitely include having a mike, a competent commander is a major force multiplier. If you want to experience what it is like to play under a very good commander, come to the NfB Gib server and get on the team with a player named Falconman-66 as a squad leader. He is currently ranked number 15th in the world, number one in his native land of Australia. If you want to play on a large conquest/armor map with a competent commander, look me up on one of the other NfB servers. I have the honor of currently being ranked 130th in the world as commander, but I am moving up steadily.
