In other news, I do adore how hardcore and softcore fanboys just seem to want to slit each others throats. It's very entertaining to watch; now if I only had some popcorn.

As Kirk said, however, personal attacks are not necessary. I think I may have to write up some "Rules of Argumentation and Persuasion" or something. People seem to have problems with that around here.

As for the .50 cal round used in M2 and Barret, if it takes your foot off below knee, or your hand off, you have a very high chance of survival. As a matter of fact, you stand a higher chance of survival, than dieing. Crap will only hit the fan if youre hit in the body, or youll get caught in the artery in your leg.

Europe is covered. At least for now, I dont have a problem with getting into an SC server. Skill-wise, these servers are usually of a lot higher quality. Amusingly, Id take a tactical CQB sim and HC would be a logical choice. But you cant take UT2007, tone it down and call it "HC" or "realistic". However, I am waiting for a COD4 SWAT4-esque or R6-esque mod, its such a beautiful platform, and if people did it properly, it would kick so much as5 (not to mention instantly get these homeless SWAT4 and Raven Shield players who are watching porn because theres no game for them).

TBH, I don't see why people make stupid rules about disabling things that is part of the game!

Ok, martyrdom, GL's, bunnyhopping etc... Are annoying for some people. But its an arcade game! If server owners can't enforce it by completely disabling that certain feature its pointless! The only possible way to do that is making the server modded. Otherwise admins will never get a game... I've had this discussion with my clan members many times before.

I don't think HC mode makes CoD4 a simulator at all. I just enjoy playing it more with HC. If I want a simulator I will play ArmA, which is by far the best possible game for that.

At the end of the day, you can't make CoD4 a simulator. SC and HC are 2 different modes, but neither makes the game a simulator.

Right, its two different modes. I can agree with that.. but people are playing this hardcore mode thinking it is more than what it really is (ie with the banning of certain things). It was meant to be an arcade game, like you said.

Talking about skill, cracked servers seem to have a much higher level.
I always struggle on cracked servers, especially on the ones that started out with CoD, when on legit ones I`m usually against M4 and AK whores who can`t hit s*it and don`t have any tactical thinking what so ever, and come out top.
Even legit clan servers tend to suck arse, player-wise.

any sever that doesnt have HC or Harcore written in it are genrally softcore, cos i missclicked one last night and join a SC server.

i must lol at all the attacks and fights going on in this thread.
