Too long... didn't read all of it, which seems basically like a criticism of BF2142.

No offense meant because I'm sure you had lots of interesting things to say... but Tiberius developers aren't gonna pay any more attention than I did.

Idiot. Stop wasting everyones time. If you want to be a petty fanboi, stay on your own "turf".

Thanks for finally persuading me to donate to the "Retroactive Abortion Research" fund.

So you know it's Tiberium. Given your post count i would be willing to bet you have the free time to have read through his post should you have chosen to. In any event though redfield can be a bit long winded he made some valid points. Even if the developers should never come across his post others on here found some of it interesting.
I suppose I would just like to promote an environment where the post length is not a consideration in the response and anyone should feel free to post regardless of its brevity.

Ay, play PR or something if you want what you outlined in the first post. Considering EA..., not going to happen.

Please, for the sake of a more interesting conversation, read the post through and try to understand it.

Well, yes, what you described would be the perfect Battlefield-type game, let's hope the Tiberium team can do better than what we know as EA. Also, how is 2142's infantry combat worse than BF2's? They seem the same to me, the only major difference I can see is that you can't insta-prone with accuracy and that you get less nades.

They do, and they have been reading this thread since it started. There are obviously MANY considerations that go into a game design. I'm always interested in hearing what players want from their games, and those thoughts usually find their way back to the developers in one form or another, particularly the more abundant they are. I personally like to watch conversations like this one because it IS a conversation. There's some great discussion going on in here.

Though I will admit, it's daunting to hop onto a board and see REALLY long posts when you're trying to make the rounds Bulleted lists are awesome and user-friendly! But alas, I did read it all :)

                    Glad you appreciated it.

Id write a long response with a lot more ideas, but Im just sitting back and hoping for the best. Maybe my creative sauce will someday get used in a mod, or maybe I can impress a gamer-chick.

Just so you guys know, even though you do have that dreaded "EA" tag, we actually want you champs to succeed. Its been a long time since I felt addicted to the game. Id like to experience that again.

I'm still addicted to BF1942 and BF2. And, i'm still playing Red Alert 2, so it can certainly be done.

I have high hopes for Red Alert 3.

Addicted enough to play 4+ hours, and waking up at 6AM in the morning because "you feel wrong" and you desperately want to get behind the screen again for just a few more quick rounds?

No? Then thats not an addiction.

Uh, if that's what someone's like, then they need to see a doctor. I meant the fact that i try other games, yet i always come back to those i suggested.

Again, then thats not an addiction youve experienced. Amusingly, one does NOT need to see a doctor if they experience anxiety after theyve found a new game/hobby/interest subject/et cetera. They would need to see a doctor if thats actually mind-altering and physically deteroriating.

Zonerunner, on a scale of 1-10, how much influence does (both) the fanbase of Tiberium universe and the gamerbase of combined warfare games give to the process of making this current game?
