    New Way to Cause Grief

I just saw a new, quite creative way people have started screwing with each other. A few guys were spotting friendly vehicles as enemies of the same type in a server tonight. So if you're in a jet or chopper, and attacking things far away, you stand a good chance of killing friendlies. I killed a chopper and a tank with TVs because of this tonight.
Just thought some of you might like to know. I had never seen anything like this before.

hehehehe. Thats actually kind of funny. I doubt it was intentional, however. Probably just a douchebag or two goofing around. Kind of like when dudes start spamming "enemy boat spotted" on Karkand.

What's more funny is when someone spots a helicopter in Karkand and everyone looks up. You think after they played Karkand for hundreds of hours they'd know there is no chopper in Karkand ...

I guess a tip to stop the problem is to check your minimap and see if the icon moves and/or is not facing the top of the map.

Nah, what's funnier is spotting jets on Special Forces.

I spot infantry a lot on kark.

You get a load of friendlies going to check them out.

Huh? But the spotted target on the radar wouldn't follow the actual vehicle/unit so it wouldn't really make much of a difference.

Spotting is so screwed up for me. I'm flying around, my commander (or any team-mate for that matter) spots a tank, or even better, an unsuspecting enemy helicopter. I voraciously open my map but there's simply no enemies on there. Any solutions to that?

Well, the way it happened was the friendly chopper icon was under the hostile, so when I hit "M" to bring up the map all I saw was the hostile. Coupled with the fact that they were flying a stolen enemy vehicle, I let loose a TV. No name tag popped up while the missile was heading for them so I let it hit. POW, two TK's and two punishes in an instant.

I also have that problem where spotted enemies don't show up on my map. It's a more recent thing, as I know they did back in the day.

Well, good shooters wont kill friendlies :) You can change direction of TV missile before you hit it because you see friendly nicks above target.

Trust me, I've avoided killing friendlies before by moving the TVGM at the last second after their names popped up friendly. It doesn't always happen quickly enough.
