Realism is, in no way, balanced; therefore, the game would not be fun to many players.

    Very closed minded response.

It may also not be up to TreyArch on what they can produce, it may be in their contract for them to make a WWII game. They may just not want to make a modern era game. Also, your pun on their company name and your general attitude towards them is very rude and discriminating. I really don't like when people insult a company where the insulter usually doesn't have a clue how much effort and time they put forth to make the game.

Very good point! :) If someone wants to play a realistic game then ArmA is certainly the best to recommend. However if you want a action filled shooter but with realistic setting, time and weapons then the CoD series are good for you.

Please no more World War II games! No more!

It would be cool if the next Call of Duty was a future themed game, but with no fantasy alien space bat stuff.

Just don't buy it, it's really not that hard of a concept to comprehend.

I love WWII, but I do love CoD4, the first modern game to keep my attention. I usually get bored after a month or two of other modern games. I do miss my single shot rifles though.
IMO it wouldn't be that great. TBH WWII was a whole different type of war, instead of battle formations and intrenched warfare the frontlines moved. I can't see how trench warfare would really be that great in a MP game.

I agree with Veritas & Khan613, I don't really like Treyarch's work and I can't see why they cannot use another time frame.

So what about the Revolutionary or Civil War idea? And you can have 'creative liberties' with games. You would have to be stuck in a trench the whole time for the WWI game. Sure, whiners would claim "not realistic" but if you're respawning after death, the realism already went out the door.

Imagine two people standing motionless infront of each other (10m) and shooting, and after the 20th bullet fired (15 minutes later) somebody accidently (luckily) gets the other in the head. IMAGINE HOW COOL THAT WOULD BE!!! :yay:

but tbh it looks rather bullsh*t, consdiering it says 'game will not be made for pc'

just thought i would see what you all think of it?!

i personally wont get my hopes up lol
That was said in Dec 07, and the new update Announced by Activision in Feb 08 that it will be for PC.

Im looking forward to the game for PC and I love the idea of haveing both Modern CoD and WWII CoD to pick from, 1 day I might want to play WWII and the other Modern its going to be nice to have the option for the PC, And CoD3 SP was OK but the CoD3 MP was not that bad(my m8 has a 360) just hope that CoD5's MP will be like CoD:United Offensive but with CoD4 graphics,
Its also more $$$ for Activision to have it for all platforms. I like that its coming for PC and I will get it! And play both Modern and WWII.

I have the same opinion, a Call of Duty with futuristic weaponry and impressive action would be a great step.
