    omg.

    It's a hacker! Not God!
Do you really think a hacker would care about defending flags? He will be sitting somewhere at Hotel shooting the noobs that still go directly to Hotel. The hacker will get his points like this. I really don't think that he'll abandon his position to recapture Suburb otr Train accident. Aimbot? Yes he uses one. And he's focussing on the right US spawn. I'm pretty sure that you can spawn at the left one and go to Suburb without being shot by the hacker as long as there's bait coming from the left spawn point. By the way, even if someone is using an aimbot, as far as I know, he can't shoot through walls and stuff, so if I take cover he cannot shoot me. If you run around without covering your a$s, well.....
But still, the hacker will not care about loosing flags, I pretty sure.
I admit at this stage of game the US team will anyway.
    Question still was:

How can you have team work when a dude is mowing down everyone in his path from the hotel?
My answer: Don't go to Hotel. Try to take other flags. Still there will always be ppl going after the Hotel flag and that is good. But I don't see a reason to explain that tactic again.

LOL... a dreamer and a theoretician teaching "tactics"... Amusing.
Chris: I'm not dreaming I played some rounds you wouldn't think of. Teamwork at it's best. A good commander and ppl that actually understand his thoughts and follow these orders. Theoretician: How do you know? Oh, you don't? Then stop talking about ppl you don't know! Loney pilots..... :shakehead

Great! Youll finish the game with a sub par (to your average norm) KDR and with a loss. Do you honestly believe one has to focus much on "a" spawn if he can mow down anyone within splitseconds?

Yes you can go to the Suburbs, Train Accident, get all the flags across the river, all while the tickets are at a somewhat crude balance and then youre STILL stuck with Hotel after youve taken Square. Then what? Not only is the hacker still mowing down newbies rushing from the USMC main, but now people are spawning at Square to go for him aswell, considering that all he has to do is click the left mouse key, youll be feeding tickets to him in notime.

My answer: Don't go to Hotel. Try to take other flags. Still there will always be ppl going after the Hotel flag and that is good. But I don't see a reason to explain that tactic again.
What do you accomplish with this. Pushing the bleed on MEC? It will NEVER equalise the speed at which the cheater is taking your teams flags away. Remember, on this pic, the guy went 112:3, thats 30% of all your teams tickets. Do you think the bleed will equalise this?

Chris: I'm not dreaming I played some rounds you wouldn't think of. Teamwork at it's best. A good commander and ppl that actually understand his thoughts and follow these orders. LOL. Ill load up some hacks, devastate your team and win the round and you can tell me all about "tactics" afterwards.

Guess which is the only aspect of the game where hacks matter almost nothing? You guessed it, its the jet aspect.

And sorry, I think I know about playing with cheaters more than you do. Ive been playing with them regardless of my choice for more than 2 years.

Chris, you're missing the point. I don't care about the hacker scoring. This thread is about what to do against this guy if the kick vote doesn’t work. It’s like spawnkillers. If they spawnkill at one flag, spawn elsewhere and don’t feed them.
If there’s a wallglitcher at market, don’t spawn there. Ignore them.

As I said before, you didn’t read it obviously, at the point where the screenshot was taken, there was no chance anymore to win the round.

Concerning the 3 path tactic: I know it is rare that there are 3 squads going all 3 paths simultaneously, but Jeeze, that’s what the minimap is for. See what you team is doing and adapt your tactic so you get the optimum result. I played MEC rounds with the typical bridge sniper battle, with none crossing the river, but me. Sure I died a lot but eventually I got to the other side and captured Square and suburb all by myself until other teammates spawned and got the flags back.

The hacker, aimbot or not, will not be able to shoot in all directions because of the high density of building at Hotel. Exception will be Square roof or C4ing to a higher roof at Hotel, or even being at Factory roof and shooting across the whole map. A decent commander could tell.

Concerning yourself hacking and winning the round all by yourself. Hmm, that could happen if you try to re-capture flags we capped. But, and as you are the BF2 god in person you’ll know, a hacker does not play to win the round. A typical hacker wants to disrupt the game for other and/or score a lot of points and look leet. When all he really needs in life is “a life” and maybe some friends in RL, lol. So the hacker wouldn’t turn the game ‘cause he wouldn’t recap the flags as long as he can still get a lot of kills.
There is still a team around the hacker and it depends an what “his” team does.

And you may think/act different, but I will not run into a hackers bullet at Hotel just because you tell me that he will kill me anyway.
        As RedxInk said:
“How can you have team work when a dude is mowing down everyone in his path from the hotel?”
The PATH FROM THE HOTEL, so mowing down everyone taking one of three paths! Feel free to keep on dying on your way to Hotel, while I promenade to other flags. They might be defended but NOT BY THE HACKER scoring happily at Hotel.

And again, it is NOT about killing the hacker, but not getting killed by him.

Then youre playing the same game as the hacker is- youre not playing to win the round.

And you most probably even wont.

And sorry, playing off others doesnt work in BF2, unless its on individual level. Coordination between 6 people is hard, between 12 and 18 its even worse.

Anyway, if youre playing with the accepted loss in your mind, then we have nothing to discuss.

I have to admit that I don't get this So I'm not playing to win if I capture flags? Interesting

You are right, it deserves a good team to work as a team and that rarely happens. But you know, sometimes it just needs someone to show the way and the other might follow.

The accepted loss: As it is only a game I'm willing to sacrifice myself (even several times) for the bigger goal. :salute:

Nope, youre playing just for the game, for the fun and for the kicks of it, but not for the victory. Because how can one play to win if theres no chance for him to win? Damage control? "Next round may be better one?" ? Who knows. But if a hacker mows you down faster than you can mow his team and his flags, you know you wont win.

Are we playing the same game, Flips? Youre speaking of a one in a million chance that your squad of 6 and other 2 squads (were talking about 3 squad cooperation, right?) will make a coordinated effort to flank the flag and the cheater near to it to capture the flag.

Bottomline- no, you cant win against hackers in BF2 unless there are certain balancing aspects, and all of them involve circumventing the equal playing field. Teamwork is not an option to win in this case.

I'm dissappointed by your generalisation, a thing you always complain about, If ppl generalise. The will be times you win and times you loose, but if you don't try to win, what are you doing in a competition? Every person is different and so are hacker. Honestly I've never seen a hacker with such a good k/d like the one in the screenshot, he's kind of "skilled" with hacks.
You said in another tread that YOU play for the fun and the kicks of the game. Don't apply your intention onto other ppl.
I think a hacker will not decide over victory and loss for his team.

Obviously not. You surely know that I play IO Karkand a lot what makes me quite experienced with that mode and map. And I've come across alot of hackers, some more and some less evident, and I could never say that they decided on win or loss. A very skilled and moving player will have a huge impact on that, but not a hacker, that camps somewhere just clicking the left mouse button.
The point is that you have to deal with the hacker and adapt your playing style to the fact that he's around. And adapting doesn't mean to run into his bullets again and again.
Yes, it is difficult to coordinate 3 squads, that's why the commander get's 2x points if his team wins. But experienced IO Karkand players know what to do if they cannot rush to the Hotel. They don't need that much coordination.
See: theres always someone going for Hotel! First path covered!
Chances are good that some medium smart squad will go to Suburb. Second path covered.
So, just go to Train accident! Third path coverd.
Yes, you may only get one or two chances to get there, but unless your team is completely useless one squad will accomplish the mission.
That is why the first answer to the OP was "there was no teamwork".
The team that lost just sucked. That happens a lot, true. But that doesn't mean the tactic I proposed is wrong or equally useless.

Bottomline- no, you cant win against hackers in BF2 unless there are certain balancing aspects, and all of them involve circumventing the equal playing field. Teamwork is not an option to win in this case.
If we can't win against hackers it's time to quit the game or play SP, cause hackers are everywhere in BF2 specially on IO Karkand. But as long as I keep winning rounds on IO Karkand, I know I can win (together with my team, of course) against hackers (and their team, of course). And yes, teamwork is essential in this case!
You imply that hackers are intelligent and care about the outcome of the round, most of them are not. They can use Paypal and click the download button, but that's it.

Come on people. We are talking about I/O!!! I have played many rounds and won those rounds with hackers on the opposing team. No...its not easy but it is doable. All it takes is a little teamwork. Not a great deal of teamwork, only a little. The minute I notice a hacker that can kill you before you see them I go medic. I learn to take cover more often. If someone starts shooting at me I run for cover and heal myself.

You have to adapt your playing style to overcome the hacker. I dont stand still for too long. I stay close to shelter and avoid open areas. Most importantly, I stay with my squad. A hacker with an aimbot is most likely able to take the first guy down, but if you are running with 3 or 4 squad members its safe to say that 1 out of the 4 will take him down. Who ever is alive can just revive his teammates. I've done this time and time again.

Ha!! I pretty much repeated everything you said Elfipso. Thats because I didnt read your reply until after.

Its funny that we basically said the same thing about adapting our playing styles.

You hit the nail right on the money when you stated "You are right, it deserves a good team to work as a team and that rarely happens. But you know, sometimes it just needs someone to show the way and the other might follow." I totally agree with this statement and that is why I mostly go squad leader.

From your answers alone I can tell you are a very intelligent and experienced player. And we both know had we been playing in that round that hacker would never have gotten such a rediculous score.

:laugh::laugh: Ever played PR? There you have coordination between
3+ squads all the time. How is it hard to do what the SL tells you to do? Or for the SL to do what the commander wants him to do? I remember one game in PR where we had one Armor, one Chopter and one Inf squad and a competent commander. We also had two 2-3man squads sitting on top of mountains and spotting ppl (I saw the SL of one of them). It was brilliant. Whenever i saw a tank, i spotted it and told our commander "Enemy armor in D3" 15-20 sec later i heard a "Swooosh" and a "Boom" And heard the commander say "Copy, enemy armor is down". TheAarmor squad was sticking together all the time, they had 3 tanks 2 mobile AA's and one spply truck with an engineer i think. The Inf squad had an APC for transport, but later on it got destroyed so they were getting stansported by the Air squad.

That round was just completely awesome. Probably something like 80% of my team was using VOIP and everyone were doing exactry what are supposed to do. On a pub seerver. One of our chopter gunners finished the round with something like 60-2 while i had 2-0.

Ofcource you play for fun. Getting points is fun to you. But for me its a complete waste of time and i hate ppl who would rather stay at Hotel and chuck nades instead of actually doing something more useful as flanking Hotel and getting other flags. IMO, its retarded to play for stats. I hate to hear "Oh no, i cant leave Hotel. That wpuld hurn my KRD!" For me, teamwork is much more fun stan chucking nades all day long at Hotel on Karkand.

I made a conclusion based on what you told me, I didnt generalise.

I think a hacker will not decide over victory and loss for his team.
I rank a hacker on IO to a jet in vehicular mode. Sure, there are times when a hacker doesnt win the game for his team, but what does it take? A horribly stacked team to the oppositions favour? Not really a rare sight, is it? You just said that a hacker doesnt decide over the victory or loss, and then turned around and said a skilled player does. I think you need to go to youtube.com and have a few presentations of how hackers play. In general, they play like regular people, just that their aim is godlike and they have a sixth sense on where everyone is (pun intended, of course).

And I've come across alot of hackers, some more and some less evident, and I could never say that they decided on win or loss. A very skilled and moving player will have a huge impact on that, but not a hacker, that camps somewhere just clicking the left mouse button.
That immobile hacker is sweeping tickets down in such a fast pace, that the bleed doesnt matter. And what happens if that hacker starts to move? Thats not even an "if" scenario as we know hackers dont just jerk off at a supply crate at Hotel. They go with the games flow.

The point is that you have to deal with the hacker and adapt your playing style to the fact that he's around. And adapting doesn't mean to run into his bullets again and again.
Yup, you said it, you need to avoid him or he will take you out. In order to avoid him you go for alternate objectives. What if he starts moving towards the flags you just took? Again, not even an "if" scenario in most cases.

Yes, it is difficult to coordinate 3 squads, that's why the commander get's 2x points if his team wins.
                              LOL...
Flipso, were talking about the same game, right?

Ive debunked that "tactic" ("strategy" would be a more appropriate word) many times. The only thing you accomplish by taking flags, is pushing the bleed to the other team and even then you can only win if your team is simply vastly superior to his team as you have to make up for the tickets he is taking away. Eventually you need to kill to make up the difference.

And a hacker has all the tools he needs to take out your whole squad singlehandedly. I know I am a lousy aimer, but with hacks, a wallhack, aimbot, I would decimate whatever squad youd set up against me. Without breaking a sweat.

You can, with lots and lots of teamstacking.

You imply that hackers are intelligent and care about the outcome of the round, most of them are not. They can use Paypal and click the download button, but that's it.
I know hackers are intelligent, I mean, on the level of a regular Joe. Saying they are retards from the mental care facility with an IQ of 40 is just being foolish. But whether or not they are good at the game, is another question. A hacker must be pretty lousy compared to you if you can beat him. A hacker that knows his game will have all the odds against you.

EDIT: Every time I see one of these videos, I laugh at the selfproclaimed tacticians and masters of strategy.

Better not post vids here :P

LOL... Pretty cool to go against one of them people!

EDIT: LOL! Second video, pay attention to the messages above.

The word you were looking for, was "impossible" and the game were talking about is "Battlefield 2". Im sure you can call in an airstrike on D3 on top of a "cheater", or ask the commander to coordinate 3 squads to make their move against a cheater.

                                1. If coordination between squads is possible in PR, why shouldnt it be possible in BF2?
                                2. Noone said that you should attack the hacker. Can you please read what ppl are writing here instead of pulling stuff out of your ***?
