Jets suck ...I have the 50 hours in them ONLY in order to rank-up. I would love to see a jet-free helo server. Maybe its more the jet-whores, as it is just jets ...but I wouldn't miss either.

the game would be so much better.
Yet you fail to specify why it would be so much better. Do jets some how create imbalance within the game? Do they allow you to own everyone else? Do they give you some huge bonus that others can't get?

The only real problem you seem to have against jets is that it allows SKILLED players to accumulate very high scores and it does taking training and it does take ability to get those high scores. So their scores are earned just as equally as anyone else.

Yeah I suppose you have the right to want an option to have jets removed but the problem is were Dice or EA to release a patch now with such an option the fact that jets are so much a common part of every server that allows vehicles, chances are you would be hard pushed to actually find a server without them.

Put a noob in a jet and he won't do **** but crash and get shot down. Put someone good in the jet, and they will rape everything.. point being, someone good.

This game has been out almost 3 years now.. People get good at certain aspects of the game.. like insanely get a life good. Just because someone rapes in a jet doesn't mean you can't do the same with anything else. I have gone like 50-0 on the ground, I would consider that a good jet score, and that was on the ground.. I go 30 or 40 kills and <5 deaths all the time on the ground, as do many other people. Most people can't even do that in a jet on a constant basis.. so why are you crying? You are probably also one of those people that yells in TS/Vent and gives a play by play of whos killing you and how BS it is "OMFG HE JUST SHOT ME THROUGH THE WALL".

                end.

If you have pilots on different teams, both in equal jets, then they will most of the time, be concentrating too much on each other than killing anything else.
If the pilots are equal, then they will concentrate more on each other than on killing others. Equal jets changes nothing. btw I love to fly the jet the whole round for rounds long.

Ok, the types of jets in BF2 mean nothing.

Yes there are (big) differences in jet characteristics. But still, it's the pilot's skill that determines how effective the jet is. A good pilot in F35 will fly an anverage pilot in J10 completely nuts.

Edit: Maybe I wasn't totally right. I think what i said in post #23 only coounts from a certain level of skill. A noob in J10 will obviously own the noob in F35.

No, no and no. If you're good at something you will kill other players. Jets are easy to take down, and a bad pilot will most likely die.

Yeah, I agree. The sad thing in BF2 is you need to be an exceptionally good F35 pilot to take out an extremely average j10 pilot. J10's in the air 99% of the time own F35s, rendering the USMC helicopter useless, no jets / cobra to worry about mean the china helicopter has free roam to kill anything on the map which leads to a huge overall imbalance. The only way out for USMC is capping airfield (this all about Wake obviously).

Not really, got any more dumb answers?

When I am not in a jet I am usually on the ground or up a building sniping. I can say that the number of times I've been taken out by a jet whilst sniping can be counted on the fingers of one man who has lost 6 fingers and two thumbs in some hideous Panda attack.

Like everything in this game jets are only a problem if you do things in a way that makes you an easy target..

                                Exactly..

It's actually your fault if you get killed by a jet most of the time.. If you are on an airmap and you are driving in a car/tank/apc, don't be surprised when you die.

If you are capping a flag.. don't be surprised if you die.

If you are near a car/tank and you get bombs that splashed and killed you.. don't hang out near tanks.

Stay out of the stingers until the jet can't kill you (when he passes you get in it).

Basically stay away from high priority targets and you will die less..

Of course on maps like.. wake, you can die even if you are just sitting there but that doesn't count
