Jets, or no Jets

I've played BF2 since it came out, I have three characters with high ranks, and enjoy the hell out of the game overall. However, I'm sooooooo sick of the jets. I think they should come out with a "no jet patch/option" Where you could run a server with, or without jets entirely. the game would be so much better. I'm so sick of the guys who stay in the jets the entire game, milkin points, getting high ranks and not earning JACK!!!! As I've said I love the game, like to fly once in a while. But these fools just piss me off to no end. Get out and actually earn some friggin points!!!!!!!!...JESUS!!! If Dice, or someone at EA would come out with this option I think the game overall would play so much better, and it would even up the playing field enormously. I know, I know, "both teams have them", "If you dont like it, jump in a jet and shoot them down"..yada, yada, yada. It's just to easy to get waaaaaay to many kills, and get to the highest ranks and you dont earn a bit of it. I know, " sure you earn it, you have to shoot things down, and drop bombs to get points"(yawn) How hard is it to get a radar lock, and BOOM!, You want to fly all game long? Dont use missiles, EARN IT!!! use the machine gun all game long. Sure bombing take some skill, and it definitely takes skill to shoot people with the machine gun, but the missiles and overall killing sprees people go on is just over the top. In closing, I wish..no, I hope......no, I pray that someone, somewhere at EA someday will develope a "no jet patch/option" and stop the lameness forever!!!!!!!:censored::wall::cussing:

Theres nothing wrong with jets, I'm usually in a jet the whole round with minimal deaths, because I keep everyone else out the air. Its called teamwork, killing enemy helos, jets, tanks, and everything else = a round win.
You do know they have infantry only servers? And no not all are Karkand.

See, I'd rather have an option to have every vehicle besides jets than to have infantry only. Go ahead and search for J-10 imbalance and you'll see that not only can a J-10 kill everything on the ground, it can wipe out air assets with relative ease as well.

i dont like jets i cant fly them and i hae them though it adds an atmospherr, especially when they fly past you.

It's not as easy as you make it seem to get a ton of kills.. You probably just can't do anything with the jet so you don't use it, then when the random guy hops in the jet and goes 0-29 and your team gets raped you have a fit.

Most good jet pilots, most that I know anyways, are good at all other aspects of the game. I'm just as good (if not better now) at infantry than I am at jets, and I probably have over 1,000 hours in a jet. Not to mention choppers and tanks.

Maybe if you learned to fly, you could shoot down the other people in jets and you wouldn't have this problem.


Or you can play with friends that can fly jets, while you go in the chopper/tank etc.



Not trying to be a **** but no one is going to look at your post and feel bad for you. Most are going to laugh.


If you are trying to chopper whore.. well play sharqi.. If you insist on playing on maps with jets... tv the damn jets.

If you are trying to tank.. then play city maps ffs.. But then we would hear about the "AT imbalance".



Looking at your post again, it looks like you got missle spammed one too many times.. learn how to use your flares. I hate when people spam the missles but whatever. Not a big enough deal to sign up onto a forum and ***** about it tbh.

I have no problem with flying them, I can shoot down other jets, dogfight, bomb ground targets,etc,etc,etc. I'm just saying it gets old...real old. It would just be nice to have the option of not having them on the maps at all.

It's not a problem with the fact that jets exist, it's the imbalance within the types of jet that's the main problem.

If you have pilots on different teams, both in equal jets, then they will most of the time, be concentrating too much on each other than killing anything else.

i love jets.. eventhough im not the best at flying them...or even good its still fun to have them scream past u while ur in battle it would feel empty without them... however i do agree with you.. if ur paying money for a server u should be able to disable a feature like that..

Without jets in the sky I could go the whole round in the chopper without dieing, provided the enemy chopper crew is inadequate, which they usually are.

If the jets weren't there, you'd be moaning about something else.

I agree with the OP!

Jet whores drive me nuts! I spent a LOT of time playing I/O servers. Good fun and you can snipe away (if thats your thing). One problem in the I/O realm is an increase of hacks, however.

I've reached the rank of Major with very little airtime. I try to stay away from Gulf of Oman and Cleansweep, in particular. There's no air vehicles on Karkand and the Armored Fury maps are not overly jet friendly.
