got 150 headshots with m21 on FFA shipment server. it was easy has hell!

and just after that, i racked up 150 headshots with dragonuv in 2 rounds. it's a damn cheesy way to get sniper headshots, but it works. (quick and easy)

i think i had at least 80 headshots that round.

It does do very good infact. As a sniper, I always pick up other weapons instead of my pistol, and steady aim comes in handy a lot there. Also you can do noscopes a lot easier.

But it really depends on what type of sniper you are. I'm very mobile and move around much. Others camp and only shoot those people that they are sure won't kill them back later. Others can't aim and just spam shots with the .50 cal

Sniper headshots on Shipment servers? Are these with lower numbers of players? How do you survive the nade-spam long enough to take an aimed shot?

I'm also guessing they had very long time/frag limits to get that many headers.

naw this was a 25 man server HC. you just find a good spot, zoom in with your ACOG sniper rifle and aim for heads that are spawning. funny thing is i won few rounds using sniper rifle over the guys that were using regular guns.

ACOG'd semi-auto sniper rifle feels and shoots the same as a M14 gun.
i tried it with bolt-action rifle and it is damn hard though.

Tsk tsk! Shame on you. That's evil...you're one of the guys I want to reach through my monitor and strangle, when I'm being spawn-killed.

I take deep impact to the 3rd slot(depending if i want to sneak around, or be more of an "overt" sniper). It helps more than Steady Aim since it effect both sniper rifle and the "dead man's gun." With Steady Aim, it only helps you out with the AR or SMG you pick up...

@Whiskey, you ain't the only one.. I just avoid that h3llhole like plague. Since i don't wanna throw my monitor of the balcony...

BAH..have you ever played shipment FFA? i respect your choice if you don't want to play in these servers for those reasons, but those servers are a different beast. if you don't find a good spot to do this, you're toast. i don't spawn kill normally, but it's a necessity on these servers. its either spawn kill or be spawn killed. go try playing in these servers and try not to, and you'll see what i mean.

the server is max 30 players, but its around 15-20 players usually. too many players mean instant death when spawning, and that can lead to you getting killed many times in a row before you can even fire a shot. if you're lucky enough to spawn and not die, you better find a cozy spot to mow em down during the short time you'll be alive.

Because Shipment servers are basically insane no matter what, I don't usually get mad about it anymore...sadly, I expect it to be awful.

But to your point above, the problem is that it is a vicious cycle...the more people who see this tactic as the only way to "win" the map, the more this behaviour will continue, and things won't ever change.

I do play Shipment TDM once in awhile if it happens to come around in the rotation...I usually take a P90+stopping power+steady aim, and try to move around as quickly as possible to not be a sitting duck for too long. I especially try to find and clean out campers. I usually take 1 frag and 3 flashes...i'll try to put the frag into a dense cluster of red dots if I see one on my UAV, and put flashes ahead of me whenever I can as I advance. I try not to be cheap or spawnkill whenever I can avoid it. I almost never have the top score (I'm not an uber player anyway), but I can do fairly well, esp if I can call in a strike/chopper or 2.

I cannot disagree though, that those who most often win the map are those who park themselves across from a spawn and go to work. :|:

Is that even possible in that map?? :p

LOL. Yeah, almost a contradiction in terms, in this game. I just mean that I don't shoot into the "static" spawns in the corners of those particular containers where people spawn most often. I'll only kill the guy if I spawn in front of him or come around the corner and he's shooting at me. But I won't stay there and keep killing the next guy who spawns, and so on.

well it's kinda hard to just fire into the spawn areas with a sniper rifle, it definitely takes more precision and efficiency, not that it doesn't still make it a cheap and dirty way to get headshots.

imo these servers are only good for headshots, and i wouldn't be able to understand why someone would like to go into these servers for just "fun" as it's just endless orgy of constantly getting naded by martyrdomers and dying 3 times off the same airstrike, and surviving your spawn once out of 5-6 times. they're far from enjoyable, but i suppose it could be a guilty pleasure for some.

You'd probably want to strangle me more after I "tested" the LMGs on spawning Shipment players. :p

You gotta remember that in Shipment Rules of Engagement and Code of Conduct doesn't appy...

You gotta do what ever it takes for u to survive. If it takes some spawnkill, then fine, it's all good in this map..

I do know qute a few people who play Shipment FFA to just get all their challenges out of the way for guns they may not use much (ie. shotties, esp for headshots). Just from the sheer volume of killing you do in such a short time, it makes it go faster. Can't blame them.

Maybe i should go in one of those servers and do the shotgun challenges. Since i hardly use them. But all the AR and SMG challenges i can do in the normal pub servers...
