The shotgun. M11 at close range is an instant, one-shot kill. The Engineer kit can be very deadly when used properly.Originally posted by xX5N1P3RXxlmao whats the use o being an engineer on a map without vehicles?Comment

please, grant me your forgiveness, i'll never troll again. But seriously, engineer on I/O Karkand is really good for SL. no joke. m1187 is really powerful close rangeComment

i guess.. however i would think a kit where all tools are utalised would be more appropriate than close encounter kills... theres no use having a shot gun when the enemy is 30 yards away with a machine gun...Originally posted by Webs961The shotgun. Basically Chris covered the point I was trying to make since I wasn't really clear. Since you can curve the rockets so extremely by shooting from the hip there won't be any tone until just before the rocket hits and sometimes not even then.
To clarify...don't shoot directly at the tank even if you have a clear path. Shoot to the side and curve in. It will drive a tanker crazy trying to figure out where you are.
You can do this scoped in as well, but you won't get the crazy curves like you can unscoped.Comment

Just saying that if you aim at the tank, even when not scoped in, it will still get the lock tone. And you can curve shots pretty well when your scoped in aswell:pBasically Chris covered the point I was trying to make since I wasn't really clear. You can curve the shot 2.5 times steeper in unzoomed mode, without losing the track of the missile. You will not set the alarm if the tank is outside the second ring, and so far the theory of unscoped shots alarming the tanks are untested. I dont remember tanks popping smoke when Ive shot unzoomed.Comment

Does the missile actually get more mavuevrable, or is it just "easier" to curve it?

Missile is more maneuverable. I can get ~1.5 spirals with the shot unzoomed, and about 3/4 spirals unzoomed.
Still untested.Comment

I bet my balls the lock tone is not triggered when not zoomed. I`ve aim countless times at tanks unzoomed without them panicing, trying to get away, etc.
Secondly, setting off the alarm unzoomed doesn`t really make sense from a realism point of view.
I could be wrong though and in that case, no bawls.Comment
