And they've made other games way better. It depends on the developer. It's pointless to always predict doom 'n gloom.
Making martyrdom a little more fairer.

Actually, that is the main purpose of patches. The whole idea was new to me when I migrated to PC from console gaming, but I can see how patching is nearly essential for online games.
However, patches do not solve all problems, and sometimes create new ones.
In my experience though, most games do a good job with patches. (other then the Battlefield franchise). :pComment

Oh so you work with COD4 coding at Infinity Ward?
It doesn't need to be changed, its not glitchy, its not an exploit, its fine the way it is.Comment

I'm of the opinion that if you switched nades to a manual weapon, as in the BF style, nadespam would drop considerably due to the lack of having a primary at the ready and that there are no supply crates.
But im biased and have never been a fan of the halo-style instant grenade.
As for martyrdom i can hear both sides of the argument, can't say i use it myself but everyone else and their dog seems too nowadays.Comment

No but I know what patches are ffs.
I give you a neutral explanation and you bite my head off......
I'm not against you shellshock, but I am telling you that if they wanted to change it, or anything else for that matter, they could.Comment

my preference would be for the martyr to perform more like last stand. the martyr should actually go for the grenade and pull the pin, then the grenade would cook as long as normal. the martyr would have the opportunity to cancel the martyr within 1-3 seconds (to prevent tk'ing), and the person who shot the martyr, would be able to shoot them out of it, just like last stand.Comment

The last time a company did these gameplay changes it ruined the game and they had to refix it quickly.
I'm speaking of course about Battlefield 2 v2.Comment

amen Aerialz.
bf2 had many problems with or without patches. some of the things added did mess up the game a little, the majority of changes were good for the game.
people that don't like game changes are just lame, they just don't have to relearn things and want to take advantage of bad game play.Comment
