You are right. But the differences is almost unrecogniseable. In some phrases the SL voice sounds thougher but generally it is not much difference.
Easy not to notice the difference if you become SL.
The commander voice is completely different and really sounds like a father watching and guiding his kids.Comment

There have been several times when I became SL without realizing it. If there is arty raining down and a major firefight in front of you, the message gets lost. Use your VOIP, tell your squad what happened and start giving orders. I've never had a MORON EMP me or anything like that but I can see how it happens. I also had a MORON punish me for jumping in front of my Support's remote gun when it had already locked on to the bad guys.
If I'm in a squad and the leader is not giving orders, I just ask him thru VOIP to set objectives and all is well. Problem solved.
If a player is coming in the game to be a jackass, there is normally nothing you can do about it except start a useless kick vote. Personally, I've never seen one work.Comment

yes there are many morons. i know them too. i get shot and call for medic, there are tons of medics near me but none of them comes. the scene i go crazy is when the medic comes but exchanges his gear with yours and leaves. duhhhh what kind of a moron are you? this is a team game not a DM. and i find most of the rules stupid when you wait for map to load.
server rules: no ramming, no spawn camp, no stat padding, no walker, no rdx and apm noobing, no commander, no my *** bla bla bla. dude, this is the game. if this game lets me ride a walker, ram or anything then stop putting rules on already existing rules.. too bad all admins are morons..Comment

Last night I was playing our NS server and had a Hachi that was damaged. I call for repairs and see an Engi so I go to him. He is busy throwing out MM as I continue to call for repairs. Thinking he'll do it as soon as he's done laying his mines I wait, but then he just stands there. So I shoot the wall next to him calling for repairs again. Still nothing. I shoot the wall again with the Hachi yeling for repairs. He turns around and looks at me. Great! I think he's going to fix my Hachi. No, he SWITCHES to his Pilum and kills me and my gunner. So we both punish him and then I kicked him.

i think there are so many morons because they arent good enough to get the teamwork done. everybody always think first of themself(would you revive a guy who has an enemie nade on his face?). but for most people there comes no second think, because they suck to much in the game(and irl). if you see someone with a very low rank(recruit is the best) stay with him in a squad and help him with the game. most of the time they will do suicide actions for reviving you.(or do what you ask them to do).Comment

generally, teamwork-wise it seems somtimes that good actions are contagious, if you make an effort to heal, ressupply revive people as much as you can, if they have at least 3/4 of a brain they will start to try to do the same. Its nice.Comment
-
Huh...that never happens to me. They just accept it, don't even hit the Thanks button, and proceed to tk me... only to get killed by the guy that they aimed for in the first place...Comment
-
Yeah, it happens, kind of annoying. Yeah as far as thanking people goes, i will thank people for heal, resupply revive every single time, anything to get them to repeat thier actions at another time:)Comment

I think the problem with this game is it's so easy to be a complete and total jackass. You can run over teammates. You can steal vehicles they just left to repair. You can RDX away a supply crate everyone's using. You can fly a transport full of people so far out of bounds they have no chance of living. You can sit in the best titan gun and go AFK. The list goes on and on. It would've been nice if DICE learned from BF2 and included some sort of, ehh, "******* rank" that you can increase or decrease on people. For example, someone acts like a real jerk, you can go on the menu and increase their "jerk rate" once per round, only 1 person per round.
Then the kickvotes or something can be adjusted so it requires less votes to kick someone who has a really high '******* rank' and requires many votes for someone who has none or low.
I think it'd be an alright system. THe only problem is some jerks might randomly do it to you, but that should be rare (since it requires a little effort to increase their rank) and can only do it every round or whatever.

Yeah, that's called a pb_pkick. If votekicking doesn't work, use a pb_pkick instead. Requires fewer "votes" and is much more likely to succeed. You'll just need to do a pb_plist to get the slot id's on the server, but if you get that and explain to everyone how to do a pkick, it works wonders (until someone tries it on a server admin and they figure out how to turn it off).
The best part is, their kick points save until they disconnect. Meaning, if you're short one vote, wait until some other person gets griefed by the person and ask them to issue a pkick vote. Bam, they're gone. Whether it's the same map or a different map, it doesn't really matter.
They also get a nice two minute tempban to go along with it; usually people decide to go to another server if they are forced to wait to get back in, and they almost always pick another server if the server they were kicked from gets filled up.Comment
