Now, I never experienced racism in games before so this took me by surprise. Imagine me playing and all of a sudden seeing all these racial slurs appearing before me.

This is just getting out of hand. I've encountered hacking, swearing, and glitching but never encountered racism in any game before this. Discuss.

I'm pretty sure I encountered racism the first 10 minutes I ever got online and just about every other disgusting net behavior within maybe the first or second day. So yeah, were you just joking?

Actually, it took a long while for me to see something like that. I played on well-adminned servers in my Wolf:ET days, and I never really saw that stuff over there. Only when I got to BF2 did I begin to see those kinds of insults.

Of course I'm not joking. I've never seen racism before in any game before this. Maybe it was luck but I definitely never encountered it before.

Welcome to online gaming, as far as I know, this has been happening ever since CS 1.6 and maybe earlier. There will always be idiots playing multiplayer games. Don't forget that.

I've heard and read more racist chatter in CoD4 than I ever have been witnessed in online gaming. It is a little shocking at first.

yes i agree on the smaller cod4 servers its appalling what is said over mic and typed.

i find that generally (not true in all cases) that larger servers such as 45+ tend to always have an admin on line at some point so the person is duly kicked. the problem is when they are allowed to get away with it and other see this and thinks its ok to join in.

I have had racist remarks in internet games since Jedi Knight. But even now it still gets to me. I recently came across a player THC muslimkiller. How can stuff like this be tolerated!
