No and Yes.

As a console player, I have seen my own playing drastically reduced within the past week. I havent touched the game for 3 days, and I havent had school or work all those days. Judging by my own experiences, the game is dying, and will not last long. I guess console players like the fantasy based FPS' (GoW, Halo) rather than realistic ones.

As for the PC players, I am sure it wont die. Custom maps always make things interesting, and all console players can hope for is an map expansion pack to be released, much like how Halo 2 had one.

Ranks...I am a mixed bag about. Perfectionist console players like me want to max out all 10 prestige ranks. And by doing this, we never have time to stop and obtain all our camos and what-have-ya. For PC players, it must be nice, but the apex is easily obtainable due to no prestige. Personally, I have to draw the line somewhere and actually start enjoying the game, rather than 'grinding' it out for experience.

Well i have clocked up 150 hours of CoD4 play so far and im loving it, going for all the weapon challenges has really made me enjoy the game more.

Have all AR, LMG, Sniper done. So im kinda dull of it..... With over 233 hours since Nov 6, I tore the ***** out of this game. Compared to COD2, came in 05. I just broke that 200 a month ago. So you kinda know what I mean

I've seen quite few players talking in the chat that they completed everything, made new profile and still play it..

But i haven't played cod for a day or two now, since i got ps3.. So i have been playing Assassins creed and nhl with it...

But whenever i play cod i love it...

Yes and No. I don't think the game will live quite prosperously, looking back upon the other CoD games, they have a habit of having long life spans. And to many people who are Just playing the game to do the ranks and challenges and not having fun in doing so, then don't do it. In MP no one can see your online stats, so what's the real point except personal satisfaction. And if your not having fun, the your just trying to complete the game, I was like that, then I started playing the game, and I found I was having the most fun since I bought the game :)

I have 202 hours right now. I completed every challenge in the game, and the game on veteran. And yet, I'm still on my first profile, and I'm still playing it.

23,349 players and 14,191 servers as of this post? I don't think COD 4 is dieing and if you are getting bored of it, you have no life and play it too much.

I think this game will have the same staying power as CS:S.

I`ve only done the MP5 and M16 challenges as they`re the only guns I use. Haven`t checked the others.
Imo, challenges give absolutely nothing worth the trouble.

Idk if you have noticed but cod 4 is in second place on the top games on xfire. Only behind wow. And cod 2 is under that in thrid. I would say it will stay there for a while. Plus when custom maps and mods coming out this will be a huge game for mods.
