    Any notice this?

Has any noticed that the game seems to be slowly lacking players... Seems there are less full servers, less players and less talk on these forums. IW forums... well there just full of people saying every1 hacks and the games BS..

Honestly, I think COD4 is NOT going to last long, soon BF3 will replace it IMO. The ranks, honestly. Truely were a mistake for this game. Not for me, I like them, but it seems thats the problem.

IW knows COD4 PC is dieing... Game companies are going towards Consoles due to the BIG BIG community for Xbox 360 and PS3.

What do you think? You think COD4 will last till the end of the year?
    Are you getting bored?

I dont think its dies, the festive season is over everyone is back in work, school or college and most people in general haven't got the time spare to play the game as much as they did in the last few weeks. I like the game, and i still enjoy it but i dont have half the time I had not so long ago to play the game.

You always get people that winge about the games, theres not that many issues with CoD4, I would like just to see a little more content. As for the forums going quiet, most things have been discussed .

Game-monitor says that you are wrong: http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php?game=cod4

And we have heard "This yet unreleased game is totally going to blow this game out of the water" a million times.

The problem is, there's no means to get the word out that there's a new update available. I recently re-installed CoD4 on my new PC and before updating checked whats out there and there scores of servers and lots of people playing the 1.0 version of the game.

I may have to rename my current install so I can have another copy of 1.0 playing, just in case...

I think a lot of people that normally doesn't play PC FPS's bought CoD4 just because it got very good reviews. Then they got bored and went back to making crappy Halo3 montages on youtube :p

Also, winter holidays is over for most people and you have to get back to school/work or whatever your doing.

But I don't think it's going to last as long as BF2 and CS and those other old big games. But it really is a great game though :)

It's just you. The game is actually expanding the playerbase dramatically.

CoD games are known for their long active life.

I think that the initial glam of a new game is over, as are the holidays. Folks are settling back into their routines...

With the really small maps and no editor to make more, CoD4 is already starting to get a little boring IMO. I play more than one game at a time, so that doesn't bother me much.

If anything, BF2 is dying. Progressively fewer airmaps (great if you're a talentless karkand nub) and of the very small quantity your browser brings back, only a handful are populated and then, you have to take ping into account...

Soon enough, it'll be COD4 exclusively... until they make another BF release. Even then, they'll find a way to **** it up. Count on it.

I only get bored for like one day, join a server, get noob tubed and all kinds of crap, and keep getting raped.

Other then thaat when I^^m in a good mood and I'm on a good server I love it. I think it will last.

If Game-Monitor is at least reasonably accurate, COD4 is doing quite well. What's important to look at isn't just total number of people playing at any one time, but also the ratio of players on different games. COD4 is consistently 2x the numbers of BF2, and about 2/3 the numbers of CS:S. COD4 is always the #3 online shooter for PC, only behind CS and CS:S...BF2 is always the next closest game, and again, always has about 1/2 the number of players as COD4.

All these games are generally lower during the week, and spike much higher on the weekend...upwards of 45,000 players.

I believe there will be more of an increase soon, once the Map/Mod Tools are released and custom maps start making their way into rotation.

Think the longetivity of CoD will be ensured when the map editor tools come out.

I still enjoy it, and keep on batterring away trying to get my red cammos and trying out guns I havent touched.

I agree with the last guy. The longevity is all based on mods for this game because the worst part of this game is the small maps. Also the little amount of maps included.

So when people start making good mods then the game will live long. Cause Im only on stat lvl 32 on cod4 and already Im beginning to get bored. I even went back to BF2142 coz I needed a fix of a huge map!!!

Come on IW bring he mod tools out NOW!!
