I feel I must pimp my team in this most epic of threads. So here's the skinny on my team Team Apotheosis.
We've been playing 2142 since day 1, but we never played BF2. We competed for well over a year on the TWL ladders, amassing a 20-1 record on the 12 v 12 Titan ladder (over half of which were won with shields up), and a 14-1 record on the 8 v 8 conquest ladder (not counting forfeit wins/losses) We held #1 on the Titan ladder, and defended it successfully more times than any other team. Basically out of 36 games played in official competition, we've only ever lost 2.
Our team sports some of the best players you've never heard of. DarkHaven (aka Dercius) is easily one of the top 10 knifers (in ability not stats) in the game, and flatly the best player at titan offense to ever play this game. I can say quite earnestly that he has never failed to open a titan core in a match. Ever. Usually completely by himself. Even against fully stacked 12 man defenses.
And SpyExpert (aka Spiesek) is easily one of the top 5 gunship pilots in the game (once again based on ability and not stats) almost every one that he plays against believes he cheats, simply because he does stuff in a gunship you're not supposed to be able to do.
The titan defense we created for the 12 man ladder allowed 5 men to hold a titan against a full on 12 man assault. It was only ever broken when our titan D squad leader lost connection (which was twice out of the 8 games we had to use it in).
While I can't prove what I said about DarkHaven and Spy, our record should speak for it's self. You can see it here

I find the mismatch on game modes people are bragging about here amusing. I'm still waiting for a clan that can play all 4 modes (titan of mixed size, conquest of mixed sizes, vanilla infantry of mixed size and clanmod) with a good degree of success. To be honest, I don't know of many clans that come too close to that, but I do know of a few clans that are solid competitors in all types.
Specialising in one thing to the point of eliteness is one thing, but remaining strong at multiple types of game-mode is the bigger test of overall team ability.
I would love to see an American team play Ezekiel's team in clanmod though. Veritas. could just send out haXy^ and he'd make most people leave the server That said I'd love to see Veritas. play a titan match, although it'd probably be their first loss in a while.
Aaaaaahhhh so many games that are just never going to happen because everyone seems to be so specialised :P
