I never said they are less skilled at the game, I said they are just better at clan mod. Oh, and btw, I could care less about my stats seeing as how this was my first FPS, and I have been doing much better as of late. Still trying to make up for when I was first starting out.

You are straying from the point here. I'm not saying clan mod is the worst thing in the world, but I am saying it sucks compared to regular good ol' battlefield 2142.

So, this is from the original post and yet this thread has degenerated into a pissing contest across the Atlantic. How about someone open up a thread something like "Clanmod players are the best" and someone else can open up a "US players are the best," like the old "Voss vs. Baur" threads and do your pissing over there leaving this thread to it's original intent.:nod:

1. Clan mod is for players who aren't good at the game
2. Taking away 4/5 of all the unlocks just makes things way easier. It takes less skill
3. I just don't think that it takes any skill or tactics to get kills in clan mod

You never said they were less skilled at the game? Fail. If clanmod was that easy, then public server users could routinely go on it and wreak carnage. As it happens, they don't.

And I like how you guys seem to think this is arguing. I call it a healthy debate. And given that everyone is going to have differing opinion as to what constitutes a good clan (including the game mode they specialise in or their own unique abilities) - this sort of topic degeneration was BOUND to happen. More fool you guys for not seeing it coming, especially given the MASSIVE potential scope of discussion made possible by the title.

I honestly don't see why half of you need to take up an armchair-admin role when it comes to leaving a reply. Got a problem with the way it's headed then whinge to an admin instead of taking the high ground and furthering your own post count.

The ironic thing is, if you really want this thread to go back to everyone saying their own clan is the best, then it'll die. Failing that it'll re-degenerate again.

tbh this topic can't go on forever, we've already established that whoever posts is in the best clan, so we might as well debate clanmod. imho, i don't like clanmod for the very reason that it is unforgiving like most twitch fps, and i prefer vanilla bf2142. that said, people who play clanmod exclusively are going to be alot more accurate and therefore deadly than pub players.

well really i dont have much to say about the whole thing, i think you and ezekiel maybe pat yourselves on the back a tad bit hard but other than that most of the stuff is true im kind of biased to liking good infantry players and then also since i havent played with many euros and honestly dont really want to bother im just going to assume that a large chunk of the population across the atlantic is more or less on the skill level of people playing in the US BUT THEN there are smaller groups that play at a high national level and are very skilled (and proud of it) and the number of highly skilled players is larger than that in the US. from what i'v heard this seems to be whats going on.

i personally dont have much national pride i mean its just how much control do you have over where you are born. duhh. but maybe if i was in the position that you and ezekiel are in maybe i would act the same way.

but as far as skill its like if i have a crappy pentiumD 805 with Verizon DSL and and do some fairly skillful stuff i mean those frag vids that i made i was never getting better than 30-40fps most of the time thers this 1 big match where i was getting 50fps. then running FRAPS makes the game run worse and much of the time so what you see is not the best performance. so i figure if someone is smarter and more skilled than me AND they have a really nice computer and internet connection there could be some reeeealy good players out there that i havent ever seen and the fact that alot of really good players play in Europe this is probably the truth.

but then you use words like "destroy" "obliterate" "awsome skillz" and stuff and i kind of go "hmmm" and am not entirely sure whether your stating fact or you a complimenting your friends.

thats one of the alluring things about this game is the constant practice of being faster/more accurate than person B

Clan Mod is the best All better players, faster response times, faster reflexes, better accuracy and smarter players in general.

That's funny, because I have played clan mod.

If you have, you wouldnt be saying that people who play it are poor and that the game is easy. Try taking on the likes of Lolyn, chris and ezekiel, you'll see what I mean

Nail hit hard on the head there with regards to the first post about population in that longer one you made field. Although I make no exaggeration when it comes to representing the skill of my compatriots, I'm not one with a huge sense of national, even continental pride (although I'll happily say Wales > England just to wait for a sheep-shagging comeback by Eze ).

And MoMo is really good, although he's gone missing at the moment which is gutting. The thing about MoMo is that he pulls off the sort of thing you see in his vids consistently, and does even better when he's not filming. I know lots of players who have rounds where they can re-enact what he does, but not many who can do it consistently. Seriously talented player - still wonder why he didn't seem to play in many clan matches though.

Drewsly wants lolyn shaped children. In fact so does crosland after I made that video... but he's keeping that one quiet.

well yeah of course he does better when hes not filming im pretty sure that rule applies to you, momo, me, drewsley, ezekiel and fingulfin's little brother

why he didnt play in many clan matches...oh probably the fact that going on pub you can get into a match right away and go against randoms and usually rack up a bunch of kills and have fun at the same time and then with clan matches you almost always have some intense, entertaining matches but then alot of the time with your clan or preparing for a match your just kind of sitting around socializing and waiting and stuff. i personally got kind of fed up with that aspect.

i always wondered why the hell clans took so long to get a match started and all the restarts and junk pretty stupid. its like "WOW, howbout we just do this? eh?" lol

MoMo is a good player, but he never really tried getting into clan mod, i have never had the honor of playing Clan Mod with MoMo.

With regards to clans sitting around socializing, that may be true for some clans, but to be honest we just turn up join the server play and leave, we know what were doing, and just say positions whilst everyone is joining, so it's not all just doing strats, i would be bored if i had to do tactics, were all just more fun team killing until start
