I am curious to see what is everyones favorite clans/servers in BF and to learn why they are so good.
So please make a list from 1to5 or just mention one and please give a reason why they are your favorite.

So, this is from the original post and yet this thread has degenerated into a pissing contest across the Atlantic. How about someone open up a thread something like "Clanmod players are the best" and someone else can open up a "US players are the best," like the old "Voss vs. Baur" threads and do your pissing over there leaving this thread to it's original intent.:nod:

.... *sigh*. If you read, I involved stats because h4yd3n said that clanmod players are less skilled and can't deal with full tier unlocks. I.E, public environment. That is what I was commenting on. If they are less skilled, how do they manage to attain better stats in the same environment?

In any case, in general if somebody can't perform well on public then they're unlikely to perform well competitively, given that public servers are a whole lot easier.

That's funny, because I have played clan mod.

If you had, then you would've written your entire previous post in green. National team clan matches are played in clanmod, and if you're trying to say that a player who represents his country is going to be poor... welll... take it up with ezekiel as I'm sure any time he plays he could happily violate your scores.

I don't see much clanmod in your 2142-stats history either

And you still haven't answered my question, bullet dodging much?. If clanmod players aren't good at the game, why do people like:

ezekiel, crosland, haxy^, redhammerz, triggy69 - clanmod specialists - make your stats look like you only have one arm? So much for them being not good at the game. Considering you have zippo expertise in this, perhaps you'd be wiser bitchtalking about something you know more about

I'd make some form of post to rehash the finer points of this thread but to be honest, all I really need to say is if these clanmod players aren't skilled.... why do most of them have stats which make the majority of non-clanmodders look like confused noobs? Given that stats are generated by playing on servers with full unlocks available.

Clan mod is for players who aren't good at the game so they must play it in a way that is easier for them. It limits the unlocks players have to use, the only reason for that is so people don't get owned by the "0MG H4X0RZ V055 GUN!" or the "EFFING OP GANZ."

The game was made a certain way, tested extensively, made balanced, and then made even more balanced in the past patches. Taking away 4/5 of all the unlocks just makes things way easier..

I don't play clanmod but if you play a comp that allows all unlocks, you are really missing out.

Most of the unlocks take away from the tactics and the skills of the game.

It does not make things easier in any way. It makes things harder for weaker teams that rely on spamming some motions and using rockets.

The game was made a certain way, tested extensively, made balanced, and then made even more balanced in the past patches. Taking away 4/5 of all the unlocks just makes things way easier. It takes less skill, it is whoever is prone in the better position that gets the kill. Not who runs around enemy lines with a ghost and camo, knifes an entire squad, then moves on and captures a flag.

I just don't think that it takes any skill or tactics to get kills in clan mod. But, not just the fact that it is lame, it's boring as hell.

Obi thinks everyone cheats. Only H4yd3n would get this, but Obi is SongofWar 2.0. In fact... In one match we were playing, Obi accused song and song accused Obi. It was pretty durned funny :p

Now taking into account this isn't your first account, that means you have already had your 2 weeks. So weres that 50-80% i dont see it anywhere.

Now were talking about being good, so you think your shooting is as good as mine and other top players? I highly doubt it, and you have played a long long time. There's people who have played over 1000 hours etc, maybe 2000 or even 3000 doesn't mean there shooting is good.

ps: As i said you and your brother combined would do less damage than one pro clan mod player.

I picked up the Krylov two months ago, and I only use it during clan matches My "shooting" is just fine, seeing as I use the Clark as my main weapon. My secondary weapon is the gunship, and I am plenty accurate with that.

@Lolyn: My assumption was mostly stereotypical. Of course there are Europeans who can fly and use vehicles, however those chaps tend to play the actual game :laugh: I was talking about the "IO Nutters" and "Clanmod Fanatics"... Nothing against the normal EU populace. However you have to note that Ezekiel stereotyped you guys too... If you take his statements as literally as you took mine, you would see that he suggests that all EU players are IO whores and clanmod fanatics. Moral of the story, if you know what someone is talking about when they make a stereotypical statement, don't make a page long post about it :nod:

I respond to what I see. The real moral of the story is type what you mean, not attempt to shaft the respondant because they didn't read your mind . You said "you europeans", thus I responded appropriately. If you meant something else you should've said so, at least not presume that people are going to infer your dictum the way you intended :) And Ezekiel never said anything as black and white as "you europeans don't know how.....".

Also, GHOST is STILL easy to stop. You can use as many distractions as you want but a talented team has all the angles covered anyway. I know at least we're very careful not to overdedicate. And still, a ghost user ends up with the lambert, the pea-shooter of all rifles. I'd take a smart squad leader who can defend himself with a rifle as the bully through point any day of the week. Sure in all unlocks they're likely to get spotted (IDS), but good tactics easily foil that. Funnily enough in clanmod given that there's no IDS unlocks etc, it still takes someone just as smart with their positioning and runs (especially given they have less sprint) to be able to flank a defending team. The difference is, upon confrontation they're not as likely to get decimated - and a dead squad leader is a useless one.

In any case, my post was simply a response to a gross generalisation. My post wasn't formed out of any malice and I didn't take offence to your comment considering that it's not what you'd normally say - but you did faux pas that one juuuuuuuust a little.
