CoD:4 barely dented BF2. Yes, it's taken a noticeable toll in the xfire stats, but still BF2 over the past 2 days, mostly because of the holidays, has had around 800 servers populated.

Uh, have you taken a look at how many populated servers COD4 has, on top of the various gameplay modes you can choose?

I have trouble finding one f*cking decent Dalian/Daqing/Kubra to play on. It's getting worst every day. Face it, COD4 - along with a few other titles - is/are replacing BF2.

Well CoD4 currently has 42k people playing, BF2 has 21k. That's only half as much as CoD4, and BF2's been out for 2½ years. All things considered, I'd say BF2 is holding it's own quite well. :)

            I doubt it.

COD4 is fun as hell. You're not stuck doing the same stupid sh*t like in BF2: the different game modes breathe new life in the maps, and nobody fights over one or two vehicles. You want a particular kit and perks? You got it! No nonsense to deal with...

And hitboxes actually mean something in that game. Sometimes they might feel a little magnetic, but that's far better than hitting air, BF2 style.

I wonder how many players would vBF2 still have/had if there was no ranking what so ever, or same ranking as in CoD4 (max rank and all unlocked in 3 days).

I just played COD4 multi player for the first time...Its OK, but I really miss the vehicles! BF is so fun because its not all about constantly walking down the same corridor, killing some people, then dying. With vehicles you can make a number of diferent approaches.

I just played COD 4 on single player and for a cinematic game expericence it was awsome . Multiplayer ,,,err no sireeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Over the last 2 years all i have played is BF2 and Stalker , in fact i think they may have even emulsified themselves into the drives .

We will see when BF3 comes out but until then the DVD drive buttoon is not getting touched thx .

He's right, but it needs to be qualified with an explanation: we supplement our BF2 experience with COD4's "infantry" because it's sorely lacking in the former. I play both games, but I don't touch BF2's ground combat because it's a f*cking joke. Of course, I find myself getting tired after playing too much COD4, so I strike a balance between the two...
