Lol, Don't forget patches for both games within a week of launch. 100%, nope.

How many CTDs have you had with COD4 or ETQW?

      I have had none.

How many have you had with BF2?

      Ive had hundreds, total.

How many complaint threads have you seen in Splash Damage forums?

      Ive seen the very minimum.

How many complaints have you seen in IW forums?

Ive seen a lot, a huge lot less than here.

We can go on and on. But 100% is a very accurate estimation, even if its an overestimation caused by joy and positive emotions.

BF2 is just a system hog, most people who think there pewter can take it, really cant, and they get CTD's alot.
I have had a few & i figured out my problem was my power supply, since then i think i had one.

ruff on the system but worth it 2 me anyway.

BF2 still CTDs on me a lot. I doubt it's my computer. I max UT3 at 1600x1200 and get 60FPS because Vsync is enabled. No CTDs there...
BF2 crashes on me even at medium settings sometimes.

may not be your hardware, but it something, cause bf2 works great on my pewter & alot of others, see if it was the game itself it would do it to everybody

manuall uninstall, computer clenaup , registry scan & fix, defrag, reinstall, patch , defrag, that should fix anything.

I defrag, cleanup and registry scan weekly. Spyware and virus scan nightly.
The thing is, no game should have a super secret squirrel handshake that makes it work. A computer that doesn't have problems with anything else should not have a problem with this game. I'd say most people who have a game that needs to be manually uninstalled, defrag before and after installation, and a special order of booster packs and expansions will quit trying after it fails to play. I've even gone so far as to reformat/reinstall my windows and this is still one of the only games that has issues.
I still like it, I just play a lot less now. I play the demo more than the full game because it hasn't crashed on me at all yet.

I'm playing CoD4, much better though I do miss the vehicle combat. As for the OP, my eyes glazed over about a third of the way down, if someone could summarize...That would be great.
