Steady aim effects firing from the hip, meaning crouched only?

You're close Eliminator. Steady Aim effects firing while not looking down the sight. It makes the reticle tighter and increases firing accuracy. It is the effective way to run-n-gun with the M14 and G3 because you don't have to aim down the sight to start getting lead on-target.
It makes those semi-autos able to take on SMGs in close quarters.Comment

Now thats good news, i neglected steady aim because i thought it was firing from a crouched position whihc i only do when im scoping anyway.
This will make my G3 days easier.
How much tighter does it make the crosshair?Comment

Steady Aim is in most of my kits. If you want a good example, use the P90 with and without Steady Aim. Don't use your iron sights in the test at all. The difference in accuracy is noticeable.Comment

It does make a difference I can feel. But, it's not a big deal.
Steady Aim did make it so that a M21 performed more like a M14. I often use Extreme Conditioning because I like to flank, so I change up between the 2 depending on mood.
I'd say it makes it about 15-20% tighter. Also, Steady Aim throws in those crazy headshots...:dead:Comment

Well i used steady aim on my G3 and M14 earlier and i feel it has made a huge difference, and i get crazy headshots hehe
Who here uses steady aim as a must for their G3 or M14?Comment

Yep... It still is not as "good" as an SMG for say, but I really think with steady aim I do about 50% better when I run into someone with a P90 or MP5..You're close Eliminator. Im still finding it abit of let down when on the move trying to hit someone, it just seems as though the bullets are VERY inaccurate when on the move.Comment

i just find that i could be moving with the crosshair over someone and the bullet would fire outside the crosshair.Comment

Definatelly the G3 is a good weapon.
i had a "silenced" config.
G3+silencer
USP-45+silencer
Bandollier
UAV Jammer
Deep Impact
With this i had the three "Sigil" challenges, today the third one and the 25 headshot for it, now it has nice digi-camo.
Definatelly is a nice gun for mid to long range, with Silencer, it's very deadly, and with red dot sight, is very useful too. But when i'll be able to get the ACOG for it i'm gonna use it like an sniper rifle for shure on one of my Overkill combos.
I love the G3.

The solution is easy, stop strafing and fire... Then move again.
Rifles have a generous deviation penalty while moving. If you want to shot and move a better choice would be SMG or shottie.Comment

I got the ACOG sight over the weekend and used it most of one evening. If you're using the G3 as a poor man's sniper rifle, then it's real nice. As an assault rifle, you're better off with the red dot or silencer IMO.Definatelly the G3 is a good weapon.

I find it very easy just shoot ahead of them about 1 foot if they are running and they will go down.. I just hate the headshot bug.. I have gotten so much more HS then it say's I have...Originally posted by The_EliminatorIm still finding it abit of let down when on the move trying to hit someone, it just seems as though the bullets are VERY inaccurate when on the move.Comment
