Re: total rape, I feel so sorry

Man, I still remember the rape-fest that would ensue when I played with Tiki or another chopper wh0re: if we had a competent jet pilot on our team to keep the enemy jet off us, the round was pretty much instantly over.

Of course, I've been on the receiving end quite a few times as well. It's never really fun, but it is part of the game, so take your licks and give them when you can. :)

never say never, and dont give up

I joined a server yesterday, Wake (as usual) PLA was down to last flag and was getting totally raped, and yes I was PLA.

The noobs on my team were just dieing, not even trying, I was able to hop into a vehicle and take out the helo with the mounted MG, switched to drivers seat and took off for the other side of the island, capped a flag at north base, by then 4 people joined my squad (probably because they seen I knew what I was doin LOL) and we worked around the map, took the AF back and before we knew it the US team was cleared off the island. All it takes is a few people to WORK TOGETHER and get yourself OUT of that situation. Yeah we still lost by a large number of tickets, but the fact is we DID turn it around. It takes teamwork, and I dont mean people in the same squad spread out all over the place, my squad stuck together and got the job done. If you got a good SL, then listen to him, I told my squad I needed 2 AT, 1 Support and 1 Medic to keep me alive and they listened. I was quite impressed actually with the cooperation of my squad.

I dont like getting raped, and very seldom do I let myself get into those situations.

Re: total rape, I feel so sorry

The only time I really feel bad when people are getting raped is when they are all low-ranking people vs. a bunch of officers (usually experienced chopper/jet pilots). I know there's a learning curve, but to see a team stacked with a bunch of brass on one side and only one or two people above Sergeant on the other side is kind of sad. You've got to figure someone new to the game might think that that's how the game's supposed to be - one giant rapefest.

As for base raping in general, I don't have anything against it, but I won't participate in it for the most part. If I'm SL I hang back and support my squad during a cap, but I don't venture into enemy's uncappables. I know what it's like to be on the receiving end so I don't put myself on the giving end. Yeah, it's just a game, but there are still real people on the other team that are being frustrated and are having no fun (unless they're masochistic). And it's one thing to be careless and lose all your flags and be baseraped, but it's quite another to be teamstacked against and have a whole team of people each with literally thousands of hours of experience over you just incessantly pound you into the ground. I've been on a stacked team and it's boring, and I've played against a stacked team and it's frustrating. Neither game is fun.

            My $0.02.

Yes, that's really sad when low ranked guys are on one team and getting raped. They might get a bad/wrong impression and stop playing it. However, BF2 is a great game actually and I would love to see more and more BF2 players

yup the only thing can really camp me is nades/c4s and clays that are kind of far....anyone camping by gun usually gets owned

btw what really pisses me off though is how noobs that get tired of losing switch sides and actually bring your team down since it forces some of the good players to get switched in exchange for people cant get a positive kdr

Yeah, same here. Especially since it seems that so many of the higher-ranking personnel are more into just raking in the kills than they are about having a fair, fun match with the other team (no offense to any high-ranking people here, of course :salute: ) and generally I've noticed that the newer players are more apt to hang around you and try to help out the team/squad any way they can while they learn the ropes, because in their mind the whole point of BF is to follow your squad leader and help him help the team win the game. They haven't yet learned how to be selfish point whores yet.

One time on Oman I was on the MEC and we had beaten back the USMC onto the carrier, and the Su and Mi-28 were raping the p!ss out of the carrier, while all the APCs started trolling their way into the water. Well I was on the shore in a tank guarding the beachfront flags when the commander spotted a guy near the USMC arty guns. I drove over there and was about to waste the guy when I saw it was a lone engineer, ranked Private First Class, diligently working at repairing the arty for the rest of his team, while the rest of the team - consisting of mostly Captains and other ranks thereabout - sat on the carrier waiting for the helis and jets, despite them getting smeared. Granted, repairing the arty wasn't the smartest thing to do and maybe the officers wouldn't have had any more luck getting to shore than they did just sitting on the carrier, but at least this one newbie soldier was trying any way he could to help out his team, despite it being just a slaughter, while the rest of the team was just selfishly waiting for the aircraft. I didn't even have the heart to kill the poor guy so I drove off and let someone else finish the job.

At least now I know I'm not the only one with a soft heart on the battlefield. :p

actually, THAT looks like a stat pad session as the total deaths on the opposing team dont even add up to YOUR kills let alone your whole teams

not saying it is, just saying it looks like it is

Plus theres a great sense of achievement if your side wins.
