Does anyone know exactly how many RDX takes out a core?

I did a test on a local server and four sets of RDX (20) on the laser part of the core destroys it but what i found intresting is that it took 67 induvidually detonated ones to destroy it. So it's best to allways stack all 5 in there to do max damage.

what i want to know is, why doesn't the RDX gun do any damage at all to titan parts? if it isn't really RDX, they shouldn't label it as do. s'all i'm sayin...

It does - I use the RDX shot to take down consoles. It doesn't do as much damage as RDX however. It takes around ten to destroy a console while 2 rdx packs do the same job. That means it would take approx 100 shots to destroy the core. Unless your on the server on your own I don't see that happening.

If a defender enters the core room whilst you have your rdx shotty out your screwed. Probably the worst cqc weapon in the game

Wrong as usual Jac... It takes a minimum of 3 RDX Packs to destroy a Console. As for using the RDX Shotty on the core... Why? Unless there are no defenders or the enemy titan is critical, you should be guarding entrances and resupplying people with heavier demolition :|:

If you read my post you'll notice I said I use the shotty to take out consoles. I also inferred it would be pointless attempting to take out the core with the RDX shotty as you would be a sitting duck. Hey when you graduate high school maybe you can do a remedial class in understanding English.

You maybe right about the figure being 3 in relation to RDX packs on the consoles. I don't play Recon or much Titan so I defer to your greater knowledge. Do you know what pedantic means?

Only the 3 RDX part was directed at you, the other part was directed at anyone who decides they want to use the Shotty on the core. In other words, the second part SUPPORTS your argument. Maybe after you graduate stupidville, you can take a beginners class on English!

there are a lot of ways to play kits and as long as a person is doing things to help the team i don't care what they do. i happen to think that the RDX gun should be a hell of a lot more useful than it is, otherwise it seems entirely pointless. when i first heard of its existence, i thought "cool, now i can play my fave class and take out enemy assets if i happen to be close enough. i was very disappointed to realize that not only could not do that, but firing half a dozen cheeseballs at a tank did nothing but make the operator LOL as he blew me to bits. the RDX gun, in my opinion, needs to be put on steroids.
