I say we work together to buy the rights to Battlefield 2142, and we'll make our own enhanced version of the game!

I have $200 in a coffee can next to my desk, that's a start.

The only time Battlefield games had at least a hint of a story was in Battlefield 1942, but even that failed to create a campaign - it was just an array of missions put in a random order.

Since then, a "story" has turned into giving counties a name, weapons, vehicles, and releasing. Even the console version of Battlefield 2 (which had more of a "story" than Battlefield 2) was just a group of missions slapped together in a poor attempt to create a story.

Games with a good combination of plot/multiplayer are few and far between now days. I miss games like the DF series

...Which has nothing to do with this subject.

On topic, I'd really like to see a story mode in the next BF games. Nothing big, just a little campaign with a few missions as an introduction to the game.
