You kidding me? None of it was history in the first place... and most of it could've happened in the 70s to late 80s.

I also got most of the imagery from Tom Clancy's "Red Storm Rising" (A VERY good book btw), and hope to see it happen sometime.

I do watch teh history channel though. =)

    And you play WiC... wow.

To all those who are 'tired' of modern themed shooters in a mid-east setting, why the hell did you buy this game? Hey you know what? I'm tired of saving France and landing in Normandy 50 billion times! That's why I STOPED buy WW2 games and if you're tired of the same modern settings don't buy or play something called MODERN WARFARE. I mean, why are you even on these forums?

Because, in case you haven't noticed, half the game is in Northern Asia. And because it's fun anyway, even if the settings are a bit boring to some.

Good point. Would have been better made if you had not used caps :|:

Remember, caps lock is not cruise control for cool

OMFG LIES YOU NOOBS WTF Y R U EVEN BORN?!?

Hehe, caps lock is obviously the best key on the board. While I'm at it filling this post with lowercase so it wont revert the top text to only capital on the first letters I'd like to question, why is "Caps lock" not in all caps?

Boring setting compared to the gazillion WW2 settings that have been around? What makes this 'boring' modern warfare game different is that its singleplayer campaign has that cinematic epicness and intensity only found in previous WW2 COD games. It puts you in different points of view in a modern war and it feels like participating in a damn good movie. And again, this style of singleplayer play was only found in previous COD games and I don't see anything wrong with using this style of gameplay in another modern setting. I mean Lord knows that it has worked in countless WW2 games and expansions so what the hell is wrong with trying it on more than one modern COD game?

I personally hate all of the middle eastern maps and SP missions except for Crash (because it's pretty different from the rest). I also am tired of France in WW2. That doesn't mean I don't like modern or WW2 settings.

Jeez, now we're not even talking about real-world based mid 20th to early 21st century warfare anymore. Seriously, I don't think you kids realise what COD is meant to be about now. If you want slow reloading flint-lock guns or sci-fi themed shooters look somewhere else please.

                            COD 2142

                            2+1+4-2 = COD 5

                            it makes perfect sense!

It's really pretty obvious... simply apply the chain rule to the coefficient of friction of money flowing out of your wallet, subtract the time wasted reading preview interviews, and add the derivative of preoccupied waiting, and there you go! One modern videogame!
