Maybe you meant "stopping power", from Perk Slot 2, instead of "deep impact", from Perk 3?

Quite some M16 issues here. If you can use the M16 well, it's flat out the best gun in the game... it's like the snipers and battle rifles in CoD2. One burst, one kill. Its recoil is as slight as the M4's (it should actually be less, considering the M4 is a carbine shooting the exact same cartridge), and its accuracy is dead on because of that slight recoil. Even in CQC, bring up your reflex sight real quick for that kill, and with steady aim, its spread is very manageable. I get strafing hopping one shot bursts all the time. In fact, people usually flame me for my tendency to strafe, jump, and fire in CQC... mostly because I'm not using an SMG and still kill with it lol.

M16 with silencer is better at range than the G36 because the irons don't sway. M4 with red dot or silencer is better up close than the G36 because of the minimal recoil.

The G36 is jack-of-all-trades but master of none, which is the real problem with the weapon.

All the guns kill so quick in this game that the G36's statistical inferiorities don't even matter that much, if at all. In CQC, the G36's controllability leads to a higher hit percentage (in my own experiences, of course), and it's still a three shot kill with stopping power.

But the M4 is still quite a beast at long range though, not quite as good as the M16, but its up there.

No, but if it were true, the M16 would turn from kick *** gun into death ray.

It fires the three bursts faster, I think, thats what it seems like.

^ The 3-round burst comes out of the M16 faster when Double Tap is used. I think it makes the gun quite a bit more dangerous. I really like the M16 with DT.

It's pretty blah I think. The bursts come out at twice the speed, yes. But, the one burst kill with stopping power makes the gun deadly in any circumstance. I prefer that.

In Hardcore, I'd prefer Stopping Power too. But on regular servers, I like the ability to put more bullets on-target over a shorter time period with DT.
