Crysis MP is much better than COD4's IMO... you don't see guys running around in Crysis that look like they have carrots up their butts.

Crysis is 10x better than COD4 will ever be..but the only reason COD4 has more players is cause people are still playing on 2+year old computer systems which even after 6months your outdated.

It's just a comparison of online numbers, not a judgement per se. It's hard to argue that Crysis looks amazing and has a great SP storyline. But it also puts a strain on hardware and performance due to those graphics. Not sure how the full-version MP is now, but it seemed that the majority of posts made by Beta-testers a month or so back indicated that they weren't overly impressed by it. Not unhappy, but not blown away either.

Maybe it's improved since then, but I think that a lot of people are avoiding the game due to the perception of how hard it is on all but higher-end PC's.

Everybody has their own opinion, just be sure you're talking for yourself. I personally wouldn't go over to a dominantly Crysis fan forum and rip on the game. That'd pretty much be looking for trouble.

Oh, so it's IW's and Activision's fault that the game they made has good graphics and doesn't require a high end PC. Is it also possible that people like the game?

Graphics alone don't make a good game. That being said, the CoD4 graphics are outstanding, even if they can't match Crysis.
The jungle scenario was already boring in Far Cry though and it still is in Crysis.

Just as an example,

...its lengthy single-player campaign largely makes up for some questionable multiplayer.

I agree 100% CoD4 has a great Sp but from what I've heard Crysis has an even better one. Call of Duty 4 though supposedly has a better multiplayer(I haven't played Crysis).

crysis isnt really in the same league as COD4. Crysis seems to be a niche game like the whole ghost recon series is.

It's interesting to see these figures. I hope IW plans on being successful by building on what they've done so well with CoD4.

CoD4 really earned it's high player base, it's far better and it shows. IW really seem to have put their hearts into it just like the pre-release videos said.

Crysis... it has the feeling of being an interactive Terragen render, with no real game to it.
