Final Complaint :)

I know I've posted a few disgruntled threads, but this is my last one. Promise :).

Sniping/Being Stealthy is the name of my game. I tend to hide in the shadows/grass with my ghillie suit, wait for an enemy to pass by, and knife him. However, there is one major downfall to this strategy.

Helicopters.

I can be completely hidden in the grass, completely still, with UAV Jammer, and have a helo fly overhead and rip me to shreads. And there's nothing I can do to counter this problem without exposing myself.

I feel that the Helo should fire on targets based on either "excessive movement/firing/lack of UAV Jammer" not on every single target.

Does anybody else agree?

In RL, helicopters have thermal vision, so you can hide wherever you want, it will find you.

yeah thats true about the thermal but the helos are a bit excessive. ive been put down 4 times in a row when spawning cuz of a chopper, gets rather annoying after a while. and true what he said about being completely hidden from sight and still get owned by it, even when in buildings the things find ways to hit u. even if its threw a little creak in the wall.

When you are playing as sniper, have the UAV jammer, doing 10-0 someone has called in a helo, you are lying on the grass and not moving and still that son of a b**** shoots you...

Only thing i hate next to it, is when you are sniping from good spot. All of an sudden there is 4 friendlies around you shooting with SAW's and second goes by and airstrike comes in just to your location...

If your out side the helli will get you coz of the thermal camera, nothing wrong with that, you'll have to lean to look for cover when you hear that a chopper is inbound.

As for being in buildings, aslong as you are not near a window you should be safe, but also got to remember that the thermal camera will still pick you up through the building.....basically what i'm saying is...if you were in the chopper and you pick up the image in a building, you would still shoot.

However!! i also find the choppers bloody annoying, should be taken out of the game if you ask me and even maybe replaced with something better...thye prob cant do that now. Maybe server providers have an option to take it off....or maybe they will in the future.

Thermal cameras cannot see through solid building structures, that just happens in movies and video games. Thermal cameras pick up infra red, which cannot go through concrete etc.. like light goes through glass.

errr, wrong m8y....even basic thermal camera will pick it up, its also used to test heat esscapeture on houses (becasue the heat sources can be seen inside.

Yes you can see heat escaping, and you can see if a room is warm or not, but you cannot see a person moving around through concrete with an IR camera.

hes right go see that ac 130 gunship video in afganistan you cant see any of the dudes in the building but when they come out their heat signatures pick up
only if its a very very strong heat signature then it may show a glow rather then the solid white color

In the single-player, during All Ghillied Up, that heli flies overhead and by you a few times and never sees you. But they are different modes.

@hurricane, you'd think it'd be like that in multiplayer but no, it always sees you.

@heat seeking, it wont see you through a wall. I've got an IR camera from my dad's job and it will only tell you if that wall is cold or hot, nothing about the other side.

@topic, choppers are annoying, just like airstrikes, all the do is make the winning team even better.

Look, I don't care what happens in real life. You want to compare this to real life: there would be 1 map, sniper rifles would kill in 1 hit, etc.

I'm saying, sniping is already hard enough as it is. Having a God-Like helicopter sit over your head and rip you to shreads is unfair.
