    Chris, if you feel a need to argue with someone why dont you go to that long-*** discussing we had a while ago and copy some of that stuff i said about stick vs M&KB, then paste it here and continue to tell me how wrong i am. I really dont care. Its MY OPPINION and i dont really care what you think about it. You the most experienced person here, your allknowing, your bla bla bla.

    And if you want a reason to why i dont wanna argue, read my sig.

      From what I remember, that discussion ended. And once again youre backpedalling. You know you dont have any arguments, yet youre still responding. In a sense, youre contradicting your own signature by arguing right now. But I wouldnt expect any more from a 17 year old boy.

      Anyway, I was asked once to "stop beating that Norwegian kid with a fish", which I will kindly do.

      Bring some facts and arguments to the table as to why a joystick is useless and well talk. Or at least try to top my arguments. If you cant do that, you have no place here, unless you wish to proceed in whining and moaning.

      A joystick is better than a Mouse/KB, but wont make a pilot better by default. Practice over peripheral device, and Ive been clear on that. But an inarguable fact is that worlds top pilots use joysticks. Or at least used when they were active. You can read the same arguments from www.bf2s.com forums, CAL forums and these forums aswell.

        The argument of whether is easier to fly jets with joystick or mouse/keyboard is just ridiculous. Of course you can get just as good with keyboard and mouse, but at no point it'll be easier. As for wasting the cash, I spent $9.99 for my Saitek Cyborg 3D Rumble Force, and that was in June of '05. Maybe for some of you that's a lot of money, in which case I'd suggest picking up at least a part time job somewhere instead of living like a parasites in your parents' basements and complaining how expensive the life is. Talking about waste.

          Youll get good, youll get great. No doubt.

          As I said, worlds absolute top is occupied by joystick using pilots. An odd KB or Mouse pilot who got up there, was beaten by most of the joystick using pilots (who are in the top).

          Ease of use, I take the word of whom I consider one of the best keyboard fliers, over speculation any day of the week. I think N2K probably knows him by the name of "Serhend". Hes an ex joystick pilot forced to fly on keyboard, and he specifically said that KB flying is a nightmare. From my own experience, you cant top the extra keys on your joystick, no matter how you spin it. Mouse? Same deal, except that mouse is even more limited when it comes to movement.

            The point is why would you spend so much time practicing to become good at flying with KB/mouse when you can accomplish the same in considerably less time with even the most basic joystick. Would you be trying to prove to yourself and to the world that it can be done? The only thing you'd be proving is that you are idiot. It's a different story if you can't afford a 10 bucks joystick, and you are "forced" to practice without one, in which case you are still an idiot.

              Indeed, which also raises a peculiar tendency. People who say "joysticks suck" or close to this message, happen to be kids who cant afford to get one. Usually someone buys one to test it first and their opinion sticks to the normal "I tried it, it wasnt for me". Theres some major generalisation here, I know. But if youre a joystick pilot, you no doubt have come across this in servers.

              As for a 10 buck stick. It better be of a good brand. Theres nothing worse than a stick that is destined to be a paper weight from the get go, just because you were cheap.

                  stats != skills

                  I have 32,000+ kills on my CynicDestroyer account. I have 25+ accounts as I often like to go in as a private with a new name because I get kicked a lot for the way I play. I often get accused of hacking so if I get kicked a bunch of times I like to have it spread across a few different accounts to decrease my chances of being banned.

                  So in actuality, I have over 40,000 kills in pubs. However, I probably have about 550-600 hours in a chopper in ranked servers or pubs, I have probably another 300-400 in unranked servers playing 2v2s, 1v1s, 8v8s, et cetera.

                  I play competitively against the top players in the world just about every day. I know how people rank each other.

                    My Saitek Cyborg 3D Rumble Force has been working just fine for me, a lot better than the KB+mouse have. The price I personally paid for it is totally irrelevant and isn't an indicator of it's value or retail price at the time.

                        Just adding to my answer... i play wit KB & mouse but if i was to play with jets/airplanes all the time i would take some time to consider investing in a joystick
