You can shoot accureatly(spelling?!) with the M14 using the iron sights.

But i don't like to use the GL that much, and the silencer for M14 is just terrible.

So it would be a shame not to use the red dot if it improves the accuracy...

Anyways...

I like the M14, it's like sniper rifle but with Aimpoint...

You know, the M21 is simply a modified M14 -- they both fire NATO 7.62 x 51.

I've been using the M16 as my primary weapon in S&D with good success.

The iron sights on the M16 are very accurate. I tried the ACOG, but the sway was terrible and didn't justify giving up my stealth.

I also come from BF2142 and i've just ended my first crappy :p MP round after getting the mp exe work... i've been promoted, bla bla... and i've found that yes, the Assault kit is pretty good... i've killed my first victim with only a well placed burst... maybe its COD4 Baur?
It's nice to see how this game promotes competition, for unlocks and stuff... i dunno if the BF2/2142 team started it, but in COD4 is pretty nice, i've tested a P-90 i've found on the ground, with digicamo and it's pretty neat.

While I have to give the M16A4 props because it is a nice weapon, I've found my love in the M14. As was mentioned before, it is like having a sniper rifle with an aim point. I love the iron sights and use it with these perks:

• Frag or Special X3
• Stopping Power
• Steady Aim or Extreme Conditioning

I love to move tactically and shoot. The M14 meets my needs and it just feels like a good shootin' rifle. :salute:

Eww why does evry1 use stopping power with their m16? How bout you use juggernaut? If you think bout it your gonna need more time to kill someone if your not hitting them. so you need more health to compensate for the 3 burst.

But if you use stopping power, that 3-round burst may be enough. You don't have to hit them as many times.

That's what I love about this game...you can go for offensive power, defensive, speed, stealth, etc...so many ways to skin the cat. :)

I use steady aim and and stopping power for pretty much all of my classes, it just goes with the way I play.

To araB ... it kinda balances out if you look at it.

More damage for one, and then more health for the other, is pretty much the same, its just a matter of who puts more bullets into each other the fastest.

Pretty much everything is amazing with a silencer... I haven't seen the Scorpion with one yet though...

Juggernaut is great for: rushers, point man, etc. It give you a slight edge when you come around a corner face-to-face with someone and you're both surprised. It protects you from one hit sniper kills.

It's all just a trade off. I have a kit with Stopping Power, and another with Juggernaut and I use them both based on the map, game type, server, etc...

I've been using the G3 all day, and now that I'm starting to figure out it's quirks, I'm liking it more and more, so I can see where Sonic would love the M14. The M16 is just better in so many more situations and at least "as good" every where else.
