I didn't think STALKER even looked nice, it was overrated imo.

I think it looked OK, but not great. Problem was that it was delayed and delayed and delayed for so long...3-4 yrs ago when the screenies first came out it looked amazing (for its time), but as the yrs wore on, it became obsolete.

If you wanna see scary go play S.T.A.L.K.E.R.. They have redone most of the Prybiat and it looks bloody awesome.
CoD4 did a good job too. The game takes place in the future so 15 years ago is still about our time or so.

My bros dad was sent there to clean up the mess.

they changed the locations of alot of buildings but the buildings themselves seem to be accurate.

They have to change the locations in order for the map to work, they keep iconic buildings/objects in the game to give that reality feeling, but it wouldnt me possible to put them in their correct locations to scale, well it would but it would be a lot more work and the missions may drag a little :P. They done a great job though! :P

My Grandparents lived in Prypat, Ukraine in 86 and were both displaced by reactor #4's meltdown. The soviets had them staying in some slum near the russo-belo border. We moved them to Michigan after the Iron curtain fell years later.To this day my family is still pretty affected by that accident (and not by radiation).

Just another little thing, killed someone in game earlier and noticed something on the uniform, its a torch i've seen before, random yes, but attention to detail .
