the last pic is from a website of some chick who drove threw pripyat and cherynobal on here motorcycle taking these pics along the way

it is really unbelievable how that city is frozen in time everything from 1986 (i think) is still there nothings been touched in 20 years

im sure this place isnt on a 10 ten places to visit in the world but i sure would like to see it myself because it is like no other place, pretty much a modern day pompeii

and your wrong about untouched: almost everything that was of value was stolen, there is graffiti in alot of places and nature has almost completly taken over, with trees and shrubs growing inside houses and what not, even the silver filter elements were taken from the gas masks that were stored in all school in the Soviet Union, but they weren't there becouse of meltdown, but fear of nuclear war with the US.

CoD4 doesn't have the longest SP of the FPS games but it's definetly best when it comes to details...

Those are incredible! The crysis comparison pictures have nothing on these hehe.
I agree with super 64, even if it's not some beautiful tropical island, it's still one of the places that I want to see in my lifetime. Something about it is so mystical and haunting that you can't quite put your finger on it. It's something you really need to see in person to get the real grasp on it.

The only game that could even come close to competing with this is Brothers in arms.

I love the detail of this game, I love the gameplay, (the story line was "ok"). IW is the best!!!

EDIT; oh and why did everybody leace that place? I mean it was a nuclear melt down, but what's that, and the town is destroyed almost as if a bomb blew?

the only thing they kinda got wrong was the color of the trees and stuff. although i guess it would be like that if it was not long after the disaster.
