Ok, now it explains everything. I tried new patch and was suprised how quickly I got killed.

I have been playing a bit of COD4 and it's just CounterStink for a new generation of 8 year olds. While the game itself is interesting and the graphics are very amazing its the community of players that makes the difference and from my experience in the last couple of weeks it's just kiddies. The language that comes over the VOIP is pathetic.

I think I'll stick to games that offer a little more team-based play rather than run-shoot-kill-shot-die-repeat games which I have always felt are aimed at FPS noobs and kiddies. I will still play it now and then for the instant fun factor but it has no depth.

I haven't managed to make the kit saving work yet, but I haven't seen anything else major.

Perhaps the COD series generally attracts a younger audience. I'm 37 and find them very linear and guided. Which for a single player narrative based game is fine, but when it comes to multiplayer games I prefer ones which are designed for teamwork, and by teamwork I don't mean everyone on a team rushing to one point on the map at the same time.

I guess when you get older you need more depth in your games.

ok so like most other BF2142 patches, do we all agree we need another patch to patch the patch? i say yes...

server crashing a lot on tampa and kit saving is all messed up...

damn why do they even bother releasing this piece of crap patch? other than the new map, it is nothing special. and to think there were few beta patches that the public participated in. seems that was pointless...

The tanks are awful. Playing highway tampa i use tanks all round and dozens of times my shots cause no damage. Earlier i blasted 3 gunships with dead on hits and they just kept flying like nothing, they weren't even smoking. Also happens against walkers but never noticed it happening when i shoot other tanks

I find when commanding, at the beginning of the match, the emp strike and artillery strike buttons are full and you can select them, but you *CAN'T* deploy them! They should grow until they are full strength for deployment, and now you have to guess how long until they can be deployed. After the first time though, the buttons work properly.

Not a major new bug, but annoying!
