So my question is this, do you guys think snipers are team players?
Apparently, nobody's a f*cking team player in this stupid game. I don't even bother explaining anymore...

Play the way you want and ignore the b*tching from all the emo fags.

Sloi... Just coz your not a teamplayer, it doesnt mean that nobody is. There are ppl here that actually like to cooperate with other ppl, and help them out.

Oh no, he is contributing to the team work by playing solo and killing lots of enemies, hence he's a team player too. He may TK you once or twice in a round so he can play solo or steal the chopper from you, but don't hold that against him as long as your team wins the round thanks to him.

            It was sarcasm, douche...

Whether or not you're actively in a squad or playing with others is irrelevant: your actions still contribute to the team's victory. You can try to redefine teamwork to suit your preference, but it doesn't make it correct.

Well, as long as you recognize that, we're all good...

I thought you PR guys got extra points for longer kills. :)

Anyways, if a sniper spots targets, shoots people in combat instead of those waiting for a tank to spawn, and doesn't spam claymores and run around with pistol out in close quarters, then yes, snipers are teamplayers.

It all depends on the player.

If they're a typical noob sniper, lone wolf, camping on one of the oh so predictable rooftops, negative kdr, not capping the flag 50m away when the team is getting capped out, trying to engage enemies at long range thinking they're a bad boy - then they are NOT a team player. And if they're in my squad then they'll get kicked so fast it'll make their heads spin.

BUT, if they're in my squad, sticking with my squad (not camping out like a noob on a rooftop), the only sniper in my squad (more than one is too many), moving slyly around, engaging enemies at typically medium range, taking out enemies who are in places where they're harder to hit with an assault rifle, and maintaining a decent kdr - then YES they are team players and I welcome them in my squad.

So, re-stating the obvious, it depends on the player.

If your enemy has an nVidia card with anti-aliasing, coming up as a sniper into their FOV will halve or quarter their framerates. Aside from that, a sniper is as useful to the team as a boat with 5 enemy J10s above it who happen to be looking for targets.

I like the sound of your squad

Erm snipers can be teamplayers but as stated b4 it totaly depends on the player and how versitile they can use the weapon.

For instance if you look at me using the sniper, im not that good at pulling off the ridiculously long range shots but if you stick me in the middle of combat then 9/10 times I will survive and take a good few enemys down aswell as capping the flag, claymores are your friend when capping flags(I only use them when im capping)

At the end of the day it would be biased for me to say snipers are team players as that is what I play mostly.

So all I will say is echo what other have said and say it depends on the person behind the computer.

Im not sure if thats the case in PR 0.61. In 0.5 i saw one guy kill an enemy from 500-600 meters away and get 300-400 points for it. Im not sure if they changed that. But they did change some stuff with the scoring. If your inftantry, and you somehow kill a tank, you'll get far more points for it than a chopter that kills it.

                      Anyway, who cares about points?

Again, it's not the kit it's the person. Who's to say who's a better team player? The assault sniper in a squad capping flags? The 3 snipers medic and supply guy on the crane racking up kills?

Personally i play more of an assault sniper, but even holding back from capping a flag to cover the spawn points you can cover your team.

I've often been ridiculed for spawning sniper, but when my claymores get tripped in TV station i'm popular again for protecting the heli.

But i mainly play anti sniper hitting those 3 snipers and their medic on the cranes :* or clearing the hill above the airfield in Kubra protecting the pilots...

It can be, if you're trying to help your squad take out an enemy in a turret or another sniper. There are better teamplay kits, obviously.

sorry if this has been said before, but it's my knowledge that snipers have two "weapons"-the sniper and a pistol, so sorry if we aren't up there shooting next to you. thats just my 2 cents

because all kits have the range, efficiency and speed like the sniper.

Every kit servers its purpose, every kit from sniper to medic is what builds a TEAM. If the team is missing certain classes to carry out certain tasks or objectives, it is severely handicapped.

Ive never really had an argument about being a team player but if you kill an enemy, your a team player. So if a sniper kills an enemy, hes a team player.
